Stop-Loss

Decorated Iraq war hero Sgt. Brandon King makes a celebrated return to his small Texas hometown following his tour of duty. Brandon tries to resume the life he left behind with the help and support of his family and his best friend, Steve Shriver, who served with him in Iraq. Alongside their war-time buddies, Brandon and Steve try to make peace with civilian life. Then, against Brandon's will, the Army orders him back to duty in Iraq. This upends Brandon's entire world. The conflict into which he is thrown tests everything he believes in: the bond of family, the loyalty of friendship, the limits of love, and the value of honor.

I admit, I totally watched this just for Ryan Phillippe and Channing Tatum.

Basically Ryan and Channing come home from Iraq. Ryan is ready to return to normal life. Except he finds out he has to head back out to Iraq. He's been stop lossed. He panics and goes awol trying to talk to a senator about the situation. So Channing's girlfriend offers to take him because she doesn't want it to happen to him. And they wouldn't suspect her helping him.

Except Ryan finds out the senator won't help him. So he either has to return or head for the border and never come back.

The movie was ok. Decent plot. Nothing you should run out and see. Although there is a scene with Channing in his undies. Which upped my grade from C to B.
