Prison Break- Blow Out

Posted by: Isabel in , ,

Prison Break shook things up by show the gang retrieving the 4th card at the beginning of the show.

They managed to get the card but Mahone ended up in jail. He was trying to sneak out of the office where they stuck the copying device when he got caught. He punches a cop and then two more show up. Mahone is arrested.

Self tries to get Mahone out of jail but no such luck. Which I don't understand why. I mean Self is higher up the badge/authority food chain. Whatever. So he manages to get Mahones things.

Sucre and Bellick are a tad bit upset they won't rescue Mahone. They now realize that its everyman for themselves. I know better though. I know it's a matter of time before Michael realizes they need to bust Mahone out. And they do.

Wyatt confronts Self about poking around the Generals file. Self looked like he wanted to piss himself. Not so badass huh Self. I thought it was funny. Wyatt also finds Mahone but before he can shoot Mahone, he escapes.

Then we learn something interesting. Mahone calls Wyatt and did my ears deceive me? Did Mahone used to work for the company? Then he makes the dumb mistake of throwing away the paper with Wyatt's phone number. Roland sees this and picks up the paper from the trash. Bad move Mahone.

Other story lines: T-Bag is kind of caught and runs. Gretchen makes it to her sister's house to clean up. I knew that little girl was her daughter. I wonder if that's going to play out later. Gretchen goes where T-Bag is staying and knocks him the ground.

Next weeks looks fun with Sucre taking one for the team. tee hee!

I don't even know where to begin so all I'm going to say is this....

DAMMMNNNNNN! That was a straight up season finale type episode, WOO HOO!

Movie Review: Alpha Dog.

Posted by: Rowena in , , , , ,

Starring: Justin Timberlake, Ben Foster, Bruce Willis, Emile Hersch, Sharon Stone, etc.
Rating: R, for pervasive drug use and language, strong violence, sexuality and nudity.
Grade: D

Johnny is a Los Angeles drug dealer. He comes from a good family, owns his home, several cars and enjoys partying with his friends. Johnny is 19. When his friend Jake welches on a debt, Johnny and his boys kidnap Jake's 15-year-old brother Butch and hold him as a marker. Even though Butch has numerous chances to escape, he doesn't. He's enjoying partying with them, losing his virginity and having a good time - until something goes horribly wrong.

I'm a huge Justin Timberlake fan so when this movie came out, I totally wanted to see it. I never went and saw it in the theaters but I did finally watch it after it had been out for all of like what? Two years? LOL...anyway, I'm so very glad that I didn't watch this movie in the theaters. I'm so glad that I waited until I had absolutely nothing else to watch and caught this one On Demand because I hated this movie.

Words cannot explain how much I hated this movie. It was vulgar, stupid and though the actors did a phenomenal job of making me hate them, I still hated this movie. This movie was based on a true story? That frickin' sucks. I wasn't proud of Justin's accomplishment of filming this movie, lifelong fan that I am.

I was so disgusted with myself after I watched the entire movie that I had to turn the tv off, the acting and the movie itself did it's job. It thoroughly pissed me off and it thoroughly made me wish bad things to happen to the real people who did this.

Ugh.

My grade is based on how much I liked the movie, I hated it so it gets a D. Justin Timberlake saved it from getting an F and fair or not, that's what I'm giving this movie, LOL.

Quick Reviews

Posted by: Isabel in ,

Well not really reviews, just my thoughts.

Prison Break

I read on some site that until they obtain all 6 cards it looks like it might be the same episode. They find a card holder, break in, almost get caught but get all the data. Which I agree. They need to mix it up.

Gretchen escaped. I see Gretchen and T-Bag joining the game. The thing that made me kind of laugh was Self getting all whiny when Michael told him he'd need to get close to the card holder. "But that's against the law!" Michael replies, "Welcome to my world." I love Michael. And... Linc knows about Michael's nose bleeds now. I feel better that someone knows.

Terminator

I'm not sure about the Riley chick. She just doesn't sit right with me. Also is Shirley Manson's character a good guy or a bad guy. Right now she seems like one of the good guys but who knows.

Bones

Ok, Zack escaping for the night. I thought that was weird. Everyone taking him out to the diner, isn't that illegal in a way? That's cool Zack helped with the solving the case but to make him escape didn't sit right with me. Then Zack admits to not killing the guy. Why doesn't he want Sweets to tell anyone? I'm lost. Someone help me out here.

I loved when Booth said, "That's like me saying I don't want to be the sexy FBI agent. We can't change who we are." Ha ha. I laughed out loud.

I really liked the new assistant. I wish he could have stayed. Maybe they'll bring him back.

Project Runway

Kenley, that was NOT hip hop. Miss I-know-more-about-hip-hop-than-Tim. NO YOU DON'T!Girl needs to go. I love how Korto and Jerell were just snickering behind her back. That was too funny.

I loved Korto's outfit though.

TV: Privileged.

Okay, this is one of those guilty pleasures. I have no idea why I'm watching this show, okay that's a lie because you see that guy to the left over there? That is EXACTLY why I'm watching this show. You see, that guy to the left plays Will on Privileged and he's one of the love interests for the show's main character, Meghan.

He's a richy rich guy from Palm Beach and he enjoys the breakfast served at Meghan's boss' house instead of the breakfast at his own mansion.

I really like this show because I want to see who Meghan ends up with. Right now, there's three guys in the picture but mostly there's only two. Hottie Will or Meghan's best friend, Charlie. For those OC fans, you'll recognize Charlie as Zack, Summer's boyfriend after Seth Cohen. I like his character Charlie a whole lot more than I liked Zack.

What I don't like about this show are the spoiled brats Sage and Rose. Those two get on my hot damn nerves and make me want to snap someone's neck, preferably theirs. Sage because she's such a little, okay a big little bitch who needs a swift kick to her ass and a punch to her face. She's one of those prissy know it alls that thinks she's a Billy Bad Ass and is in dire need of a whoop ass! Then there's Rose who is the spineless little sock puppet that follows her big sister around and does everything she's told, even when she doesn't want to.

Those two make me so mad and then I get so mad at Meghan for letting them get away with the crap that they get away with. I want her to just punch her, that's how us Samoans get down, you disrespect me and I will one, two, drop your ass and then we'll get over it and move on. Meghan needs to do that and get things under control because Rose is not going to get into Duke, let alone see her Junior year if she doesn't get those girls in line.

And this little bullshit that we saw at the end of tonight's episode does little to reassure me, Meghan still has her work cut out for her.

But man, how hot was Mr. Cassidy? Between his hotness and then Will and Charlie, Meghan sure is one lucky chick and between the three of them, I will be around to watch this show.

Until next week...

TV: 90210- My Thoughts.

Posted by: Rowena in , ,

I didn't write up a post about my thoughts on 90210 because I've been lazy, but I'm here now and I've got lots to say.

First off, the high school scenes when they're at the actual high school (and not in the parking lot) is not Torrance High but El Segundo High. My little cousins go to that school so I recognized the grounds and I know what Torrance High looks like on the inside and it's definitely not like that.

But anyway, so this show has been just so so for me lately and I think it's because there have been NO scenes with my fav, Navid in them!

I still have to watch it every week but I'm getting more mad the less I'm seeing of Navid.

Is it sad that I'm more excited to see all of the tid bits having to do with the old 90210 folks? I'm more interested in Kelly Taylor and Ryan Matthews and I'm more interested in having Brenda around for more episodes. I'm dying for Luke Perry to change his mind about coming back to the show and be a father to Sammy.

But as for the new folks of 90210, they're good too.

I don't like Ty and Annie. (I don't like Annie very much either but still, Ethan's her lobster) I don't like Ethan and Naomi either. Ethan and Annie are the couple we have to follow through this show because their happy ending is not going to be coming any time soon. They're the Lucas and Peyton of this show. So I'm really looking forward to seeing where these two's storyline will go.

What I don't understand though is in last week's episode, Ethan broke his date with Annie because he was out with Naomi. But Annie was waiting for him in the day time and he didn't go out with Naomi until night time so why couldn't he go out with the both of them?

As of right now though, my favorite "couple" or almost couple as it is, is Dixon and Silver. Those two are adorable and the way they flirt is so in your face and not beat around the bush, it's too cute! I'm looking forward to more throughout the season between these two.

On tonight's episode we see who Bitchy McSlutty is and I'm not impressed with her. What a jealous little shit she is and I was mad that well, I wasn't mad because the only thing that I was mad about is Navid hasn't been on the show in two weeks, BRING HIM BACK DAMMIT!

Does anyone even care about the state of Naomi's parents marriage? I know, I don't. I don't even care about Naomi, do you guys remember that Keeping Up with the Kardashian episode where the family went up to the mountains and Kim is being a baby and she's crying and then gets pissed off because Kourtney was laughing at her and then we find out that the reason Kourtney was laughing is because Kim looks so ugly when she cries? Well that episode flashed in my head when Naomi started crying cause she caught her dad cheating on her mom. I hope that in the future, Naomi won't have cause to cry because it's not a nice sight at all. I'd rather pull my hair out one strand at a time than to see that again.

So anywho, I like this show and I want to continue to watch it so I'm going to give it a couple more weeks for the writers to get their butts in gear and bring Navid back into the picture before I toss the towel in on this show. Kelly Taylor isn't a permanent fixture on this show and neither is Brenda, Dylan isn't coming back and if Navid isn't either there's nothing for me to stick around for.

So let's cross our fingers I don't have to give up on this show.

TV: One Tree Hill,

Posted by: Rowena in , ,

I haven't been posting my thoughts on this show either but I have much more to say about this show.

Starting with:

Brooke: So she gave up her company to that old hag of a mother, Victoria. She straight went to New York, showed up at her house and pulled a gun on her. I wanted to stand up and cheer for her until she gave up the company to Victoria and I've got to wonder what's going to happen with her now. I'm out of ideas too, I have no idea what's going to happen with this storyline but I look forward to finding out. I'm glad she realized who her real family was, I'm also glad she realized that she was no longer alone and won't ever be alone again.

Peyton: Home dude is totally her real dad but what I want to know is where the heck is her Dad, the dad that she thought was dead, the first time her and Lucas cheated on Brooke. I can't say that I'm so excited about this storyline because I'm not. I could actually not care about this storyline and I hope that they jazz Peyton's storyline up (with Lucas included) because I'm getting bored watching her in her damn recording studio with no music artist except Haley.

Lucas: I hate watching him in his Coaching role. I think he's such an odd looking coach. He's what? Like 4 years older than these guys, meh I'm so not buying him as a Coach and then his pep talks and his coach speeches to the team make me cringe because they're so, makes me roll my eyes kind of speeches. And the whole only play 4 players each game for the rest of the season though sweet is kind of making me roll my eyes a little more.

Nathan/Haley/Jamie: Still loving these guys, still loving the whole family dynamic they've got going on and I just enjoy seeing these guys interact with everyone, even when Nathan is being a bonehead about his mom dating his friend and even though I don't blame him one bit for being weirded out about Skills and Deb, it IS kind of weird and a lot gross.

Things are going to come to a head next week with Haley, Jamie and Carrie. Cannot effing wait for that.

Carrie/Dan: Oh goodness, I'm looking forward to seeing Haley lay this bitch out. I'm looking forward to seeing Dan get her ass and I just cannot wait to see everyone bring this psycho down. So she justifies stealing someone elses kid because she lost hers? I wonder what happened with her son, or what killed her son that made her turn so fackin' psycho. Who hurt her, who killed him and what screw got loose because of it all? Was it Haley or Nathan that accidentally killed her and that's why she's gone after Jamie? Seriously, I want to know the connection there. Why did she target that family? Because it wasn't enough for her to steal Jamie, she also tried to ruin their marriage so seriously, WHAT THE FACK HAPPENED CRAZY CARRIE?

Ooh, next week can't get here sooner...seriously!

Until next week...

Rent this.

I heart Jim. But maybe not this much. LOL

I'm on the fence about this one...

True Blood

Posted by: ~ames~ in ,

Ok, it's episode three of True Blood and I think we need a gut check. What are your thoughts on this series so far?

I'm liking it so far although I don't like what happens with Tara and Sam. I guess this stems from how Sam is with Sookie in the books, so it kind of feels like a betrayal to me. LOL

Nothing big that's turning me off otherwise, I'm pleased with the pacing and like how Sookie seems to be in a jam at the end of every episode.

And I crack up at how Bill says Sookie. Sookie Sookie - She's mine!

And Sookie's all, HELL NO. Truly good stuff. And the theme song, I wanna do bad things to you. So raw.

Fringe

Posted by: ~ames~ in ,

Ok Rowena, I finally got around to watching the first two shows and what am I thinking so far?

I like it, although some things *cougholiviacough* bother me. LOL

On Friday, before I caught these episodes I had just finished reading a funny article on the top ten plot holes in movies. So yeah, I was super-vigilant when watching Fringe and I just need to get over myself basically. I like it, the whole Pattern thing is very intriguing and I can't wait to see where this series is going. Holes and all.

Prison Break-Eagles and Angels

Posted by: Isabel in , ,

My thoughts on last night's Prison Break. Episode Recap is here.

YAY! They got the second card. I'm thinking finding the card holder's and getting the info will be done quickly. The break in is what they'll drag out for the season. Because it is pretty fast how they figured out the two card holders just like that and were able to obtain the info.

I know I say this every week but how is T-Bag still around? I told a co worker, "They were able to round up the entire gang just like that. But for whatever reason, T-Bag will be able to evade them." Or... they'll have to make him part of the group. Which will annoy me.

I'm still on the fence with Sarah. Sometimes she looks guilty of hiding something or having a second agenda. Other times I really think she's on the same side as Michael. Damn my mom putting that thought in my head.

Did I miss something about Michael's nose bleeds? Why is it happening? Rowena asked if Michael used while in Sona. Not to my knowledge. If someone can clear this up for me, I'd appreciate it.

ok, i searched around the net. From what I read, Michael is ill, nothing fatal. Has to do with him being so smart and something from his mother's side of the family. The nosebleeds play a major part in the story. Interesting. He better not die. I'll be pissed.

Assassin dude is close on their heals. I'm wondering if he'll stay alive or if Mahone will avenge his son's death. It also looks like Gretchen is close to escaping too. I'm wondering whose side is she on? Will she team up with Michael and the gang? Hmmmm.

And didn't Michael and Linc look damn sexy in the cop outfits. Yummy. That's it for this episode.

TV: One Tree Hill. Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly.

Posted by: Rowena in , ,

So who cried as much as I did over last night's episode of One Tree Hill. I about tuckered myself out after watching last night's episode and the reason I didn't type this up last night was because I couldn't see the screen of my laptop after this was done because, I was crying too much.

The writers of this show prove to me every week, why I keep coming back..because it's so good. Even when I'm pissed off at the writers for writing storylines that don't go along with what I want, I still love the show.

Nathan/Jamie/Haley: I really do think that Haley stole the show last night. She was spot on with her grieving for Q. She was mad, she was sad and she didn't have all of the answers. She was human and I got all teary eyed when Q's Mom thanked her for the influence she had on Q. I'm still a little bit peeved that Q had to leave the show so soon but I can already see another Q in the makings with the little shit that stole from Clothes over Bro's. I really liked Haley's quote at the end, the one she wrote onto the desk and I really enjoyed her little speech to the class. She's a really great character and I really am glad that her and Nathan are back together and living in peace and love again.

Jamie, gosh I love this little boy! Am I the only person that wants Q's little brother to be a recurring character so that Jamie has someone his age to play with? Every episode that we see little Jamie in, makes me fall in love with this little boy more and more. He's so wise for a boy of his age. The way he insisted on going to Q's funeral because Q was his friend too. The way he stood up to Haley and made her realize that he wanted to say goodbye to Q too? It's too frickin' cute and sooo right. Why on earth would Haley and Nathan NOT take Jamie to the funeral? Why would they try to keep him from something like that?

My favorite quote came from last night's episode came from Jamie. Remember when he was sitting on the swings talking to Q's little brother and he said, "My grandma wears tight pants." LOL...I was rollin'.

And then there's Nathan. I'm glad that Nathan and Brooke are forming a sort of bond because they're the most alike, I think. They were both little shits in high school and now they're so much better than I ever thought they'd turn out. Nathan went through losing his career and his family and now Brooke might be going through the same things. I was so hot damn glad that Nathan sought out Brooke and reminded her that she's not alone, that she'll never be alone because she has people who love and care for her and I just want Brooke to stop trying to be so hot damn strong and lean on her friends.

She may not have had a very good mother but she had the best friends, friends that would walk through fire for her if only she'd let them. Let them, Brooke. Let them take care of you for a change.

I sincerely hope that she does lean on her friends because right now, she needs them more than she thinks.

Brooke: I'm still scared to see this side of Brooke. To see this helpless, scared and grouchy Brooke. She is so much stronger than she realizes and I seriously cannot wait to see how her storyline pans out. I also want Deb to break her trust and tell someone because that secret is one secret, I would be too uncomfortable to keep to myself.

I can't wait to see Brooke confront her demons next week. It's on and crackin' now.

Lucas/Peyton: Nothing much to report on these two from this episode but we're not done seeing the drama go down between them. They're not married yet so they still have obstacles to get over but I'm confident that through it all, they'll still be together.

Deb/Skills: LOL! I'm starting to get all soft where these two are concerned. I'm starting to come around to the whole Cougar storyline between Deb and Skills and I seriously cannot wait to see all of the reactions next week, Nathan knows and oh man, it's going to be so interesting.

I really felt for Skills last night, I also felt for Deb because you could totally tell she was fighting with her feelings for him all throughout the episode so it was quite shocking to see her walk up to Skills and hold him through the funeral.

Oh goodness.

Dan/Carrie: These two are starting to bore me with all of the, "Your plan sucks" and the "I'm going to enjoy killing you" first off, Carrie looks like an idiot everytime she gets all pissy with Dan and Dan always looks like an ass and I never thought I'd see the day where I was rootin' Dan Scott on in anything...but whatever happened to Carrie's son, I still can't wait to see Dan make her pay for what she's doing to him now and for what she's planning to do to his family.

And that's all folks, I've got a quick question for anyone who knows the answer...we ARE going to see more from Mouth and Milicent, right? They're not completely done with the show, are they? Gosh I hope not, I actually like them. I wonder if Doctor boy from last season or Owen will be coming back to help Brooke fight her demons, I really hope so because she needs them, she needs someone fighting in her corner!

Make that happen Mark Schwann!

Until next week...

Army Wives

1) Claudia Joy better not be raped. Someone better walk in that door and save her. Or she better knock him the hell out. She's been through enough.

2) I understand why Roland told Joan about Trevor but I also understand why Roxy is upset at Roland for telling Joan.

3) I don't like what they are doing to Trevor's character at all.

4) Pam needs to tell Chase about her stalker. And she shouldn't be putting herself out there as bait.

5) Ha ha Denise. Frank up and left you. You wanted the separation and now you got. I get that you've changed and Frank does need to be open about it. But do you really expect Frank to not forget you almost fell in love with another man and that you kissed him. What would you have done? I don't blame Frank if he leaves your sorry ass.

6) Joan better be ok.

Those are my thoughts on last night's show.

TV: Fringe.

Posted by: Rowena in ,

FOX has a new show out called Fringe and it stars my favoritest guy from Dawson's Creek. Joshua Jackson. Goodness it's so good to see Joshua Jackson acting again on the small screen. I didn't know that this show was premiering this week so I'm just getting around to watching this show but man, did I enjoy the heck out of it.

So much happened in the pilot that it was hard to keep up at first but to stop watching this show was not an option.

I was hooked right from the very first airplane scene. Of course, I was hooked because I wanted to see Pacey again, I wanted to see what his role in this show would be and I'm so glad that I did continue watching because the show is really interesting.

There's so much going on and even though I don't need another show to keep up with every week (especially considering this show comes on at the same as my Monday night shows on the CW. *sigh*) but dude, I'm totally hooked on this show and I will be watching this even though it's kinda gross with all the skin melting and stuff, but this show is all fast paced and crazy action packed and everything else that had me at the edge of my seat.

Did you anyone else watch this show? Is anyone else going to be watching this show with me throughout the season? For those who did watch this show, what did you think? Thoughts on what you saw?

I'm so excited to see how this show pans out throughout the rest of this season, there so much scientific stuff that has me all intrigued. But most of all, they've got my hottie loving self all giddy at the thought of seeing Josh Jackson every Monday night and that's definitely something that I can look forward to. Especially if I can see him kicking bad guy ass like I did in this episode, man he's hella hot when he's all kicking ass, woo hoo!

Oh and another thing I absolutely love about Josh Jackson in this show? His brain! BRAINIACS ARE SEXY DAMMIT!

Bring on the Fringe!

Burn After Reading

Movie description from Yahoo Movies: An ousted CIA official's memoir accidentally falls into the hands of two unwise gym employees intent on exploiting their find.

Starring: George Clooney, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Tilda Swinton, Brad Pitt

As soon as I saw a preview for this morning, I knew I was gonna see it immediately. Brad Pitt as a somewhat less-than-bright gym employee? And that hair! It was awesome. Then there's the fact that Frances McDormand was in it. And I LOOOOVE Frances McDormand. John Malkovich is a plus and George Clooney is a bonus. LOL

Ok, so the basic premise of the movie is this: Osbourne Cox (John Malkovich) is let go from his analyst position at the CIA. This prompts his wife, Katie (Tilda Swinton) to go ahead and proceed with the divorce that she had been considering. Somehow in all of this, a copy of Harry's computer files gets dropped in the women's locker room at Hardbodies, where Chad (Brad Pitt) and Linda (Frances McDormand) are personal trainers. Linda and Chad fall into a blackmail scheme that Linda is all for because it'll help pay for her plastic surgeries.

I say they fall into it because they didn't set out to blackmail Osbourne Cox. They were perfectly willing to be good samaritans and return his information (Chad calls it "shit"-very hilarious scene here) for a small reward but Osbourne Cox is not the type of guy who gives warm fuzzy feelings to others.

All right. Brad Pitt and Frances McDormand totally made this movie for me. I had myself some good laughs (two scenes in particular almost made me pee my pants) and all in all, it was a good movie. It wasn't an excellent movie, but it was good. If you're a fan of the Coen brothers or any of the actors listed above, definitely check it out. B+

Bones- Man in the Outhouse

Posted by: Isabel in , ,

My thoughts on Bones.

First of the lab assistant, Daisy, was kind of annoying. I get she wanted to be accepted by Bones but still. Glad they got rid of her.

Bones dating two men. Kind of weird. I don't know. I can see she's loosened up some since watching season 1. I loved the scene at the end when Booth is telling her there is a love out there for. She just needs to be open to what's in front of her. Aw.....

Other than that, the whole finding a guy in the outhouse... ewwwww. Ok episode. I do want to see more of Angela and Hodgins. I can't believe they didn't show anything between these two. I still don't understand why they broke up.

Lauren Conrad Is Writing Books!

Posted by: Rowena in , ,

Did you guys hear that Lauren Conrad (Izzy, our girl is going to be an author!) signed a contract to write a 3 book series? I didn't know she liked to write but hey, do the damn thing Lauren and handle your scandal, woo hoo!

Here's what I read on just about dang near everyone's blog:

She’s been living it up with fashion shows on both coasts this week, and now it sounds like Lauren Conrad may be looking to further diversify her resume.

According to a recent report, the “Hills” hottie has just signed a three-book deal with HarperCollins Publishers for a young adult fiction series. And the subject matter is familiar territory for LC.

A press release for “L.A. Candy” reveals that the books will contain "the behind-the scenes story of a young girl who moves to L.A. and unexpectedly becomes the star of a reality television show."

HarperCollins Senior Vice President Elise Howard told press, “I’ve never seen a new project generate noise like the instant buzz that swept through our offices around this deal. The Hills and Lauren Conrad are household names among our staff, and their popularity is even higher among the teens who are our readers. We’re bracing ourselves for a blockbuster publication.”

Miss Conrad added, “I’ve always loved books that I could lose myself in, ones that would transport me to another place, but had characters I could relate to. I’m so excited to have this opportunity to write books like that for other readers.”

I, for one...WILL FOR DAMN SURE BE READING THESE! =) ...and reviewing them too, so Lauren don't let me down! =)

Isabel and myself are big time fans of Prison Break and we were talking about last night's episode so we decided to just post it on Boob Tube in case any of you guys wanted to discuss with us.

And on with last night's Prison Break talk:

Rowena
: She's looking more and more guilty but I can't believe it Izzy, I just can't.

What are your thoughts on tonight's episode of Prison Break?

Isabel: I can't either.

Rowena: So what are your thoughts on last night's episode? Man, I watched all of my shows last night except for Gossip Girl, I do think that I may stop watching that show since my Monday nights are all booked up. haha. But what did you think about the whole SCILLA thing? Is it lame?

I can't get over the whole Sarah thing...why wasn't she taken captive with everyone else? Why did the FBI guy tell the guards to let her go? Why was she looking at the FBI guy when she was hugging Michael? And why didn't Michael see how curious that was? I'm not liking this.

Isabel: Well, Sarah wasn't really in any trouble was she? I mean, they were all on the run. Sarah just got fired when they found out she was helping them. But I saw the look that passed between her and the guy. And then when she said Michael could tell her things. I'm like... no no NO! And I wouldn't have thought anything of it until my mom suggested that Sarah was on the other side. Sigh. I hope it turns out to be nothing.

Ok, the SCILLA thing. Did Michael say it was a meeting with all the card holders? I just saw the two guys unless the drivers are on it out or maybe it was like a conference all. I was upstairs watching so I couldn't rewind what Michael said. But if they found all the card members, that was kind of fast. I was thinking they'd find them one at a time.

Rowena: Yeah but wasn't she supposed to go to prison from before, when she was harboring a fugitive or helping Michael and Lincoln escape from prison? I mean, she WAS in hiding wasn't she? And Bruce helped her escape, right? Maybe I'm wrong but I could have sworn that was what went down before.

I know what you mean though because when Saraha started that conversation with Michael, I was screaming in my head, ARE YOU GOING TO TURN ON MICHAEL YOU DUMB HOE!?!? Ugh, if they make her turn against Michael and everything he's fought against for her, I'm going to be so mad and I probably won't watch the show anymore. But what if it's all a plot to make us think she's turning against him but she's really not? What if she's like trying to protect him, what if she's working against them because the company told her that they'd kill Michael if she doesn't? Oh goodness, dammit and fack, my blood pressure keeps rising when I watch this show.

Yes, he did say that it was a meeting with all six cardholders but I think that it's a good start because now they know who they're out to get and now all they have to do is get all of the remaining cards, I don't think that just because they know who has the cards their work is done, oh no...they have 5 other cards to get and they'll spend this entire season getting those 5 cards back so their work is just beginning if you ask me.

I feel bad for Mahone though, even though I hate him after everything he's done to Michael and Lincoln, I still feel bad that they killed his son, did you get all gooey when Lincoln told him that he'll help him bring those guys down? I did, awww Lincoln, the brawn behind the whole project. Don't you just love it when he shows how manly he is when he punks the asian guy? haha.

Isabel: I can't remember if she was supposed to go to prison for helping them. Ugh. Maybe they are using Sarah to keep Michael in check? Cause remember how Michael wouldn't do anything until he saw Sarah. So maybe that's it? This could go in so many ways! I'm just hoping she does not turn on him. I mean... UGH! I think I would stop watching the show if she turned traitor on them. Especially since Michael is doing all of this so he can be with her.

Ok so it was all the card holders. I know it's gonna be interesting to watch him get the cards. And now it looks like they are gonna run into T-Bag. How much you wanna bet someone T-Bag will be included in the group now. I swear, I hate him. I soooo hate him.

I do feel bad for Mahone. He was a jerk before but now I've softened up to him. And when Linc offered to help him at the end. Awww. I was like.. awwww. Two people who I never thought would become allies. Ha ha, I love when he sets the Asian guy straight cause he is a little punk. Geez.

Rowena: I know what you mean, I mean if Sarah turns on Michael, I WILL stop watching this show. So they can't do that. They better not do that.

Ugh.

And as far as T-Bag goes, he's so goign to be apart of this operation and he's going to take great pleasure in throwing that in Michael's face. I wonder if Michael is going find out that T Bag has the Bird Book, or ate it as it is. *sigh* I just wish that T Bag would hurry up and meet his maker, I hate him too.

What about Bellick, how annoying is he with all of his whining to Sucre about making a run for it? It's like SHUT THE EFF UP and do what you're told.

It's crazy how Lincoln it now helping Mahone avenge his son, I like it though. They both need to come to grips with the past and even though Mahone was only doing his job, I'm glad that they're working together on the same team because Mahone is hella smart but what ever happened to his junky habit? Is he clean now? Did they ever mention it last season? I forgot.

What are you most looking forward to in this season? Any last thoughts?

Isabel: T-Bag is just sooo slimy and icky. I hate how he always seems to land on his feet. Jerk. I really want to see him get his.

Bellick cracks me up sometimes. He was all bad @$ when he was a guard and Fox Prison. Walking around like no one could touch him and now here is all scared. But he does need to have faith in Michael. I liked how Sucre was all telling him to shut up. I love Sucre. I love how he trusts Michael and how loyal he is. I really want him to have his happy ending.

I don't remember Mahone quitting his habit. I was wondering what happened with that. Unless he quit while in Sona towards the end of season 3. Cause I know he was going through withdrawal there for a while in Sona. But I'm glad too Linc and Mahone are working together.

Ok there was part I was like... when Linc grabbed the ax to save Michael and computer nerd. Dude... i would think someone would noticed someone walking in with ax who wasn't a fireman. At least Linc could've put on a fireman's jacket or something! lol.

What I"m looking forward to: T-Bag getting his. Michael and Sarah being together. Sarah not being a traitor.

Rowena: *sigh*

I seriously hope that Sarah is not a traitor, because that would seriously suck if the writers went through all the trouble of bringing her back and she turns on Michael, hello? That's not good writing.

Sometimes things have to go wrong before they can be made right, right? T Bag will gets his, hopefully sooner rather than later.

I, too love Sucre. I love how steadfast he is in his loyalty to Michael. I love how much history those two have being cell mates and all but I just really like his personality and the motivation behind everything he does. He loves Marisol and is seriously doing everything he can to be with her, my romantic heart just eats it all up. Bellick irritates me but it IS funny to see him all whiny baby which is in complete contrast to the way he was when he was the big dawg at Fox River.

I don't remember it either but maybe after he detoxed, he was just over it...whatever. Him and Lincoln working together, who would've thunk it?

You're right about Lincoln though, he just stole that firetruck's axe and just ran into the building without a care in the world and not one person stopped him? Not one firefighter? Not one cop? I mean, it's not like he's a felon or anything...*rolls eyes*

Are they ever going to be together? Michael and Sarah? I can't get over their whole relationship...I'm scared for Scofield.

Isabel: Exactly! I mean, you would think one cop or firefighter would say, "Hey!" But no, he just walks on in there like nothing, manages to find them and free them. But he broke the glass in one shot, I was like.. yum. Hello manly man Linc. lol. But then it just shows how determined he was to free his brother. Awwww.

I'm scared for Michael too. It's all my mom's fault for putting these ideas in my head!!!!!!!!!

Rowena: I know! And he stole THEIR axe! Frickin' retard. And Linc is hottie studly macho man, lubs him!

Isabel: I know. it was kind of hot. Sigh... LOL! I hope LInc and Sophia get their happy ever after.

Alright, so what did you guys think? Did anyone else watch Prison Break? What are your thoughts on this one?

Lauren and Audrina Finally Talk...

Posted by: Rowena in , , , ,

...and if you ask me, it's about damn time.

I have no idea why I'm so obsessed with this show, but I am. It's a guilty pleasure that I can't help but get absorbed in week in and week out. I am utterly smitten with Brody Jenner and he is your typical frat boy who parties his life away but goodness, he's just so funny and so cute and so yummy that I don't even care that he's a womanizer.

Anyway, so Sunday night they had a bonus episode where we see the crew (Lauren, Lo, Stephanie, Brody, Doug, Frankie, Audrina and Justin) fly to Vegas to celebrate Frankie's birthday. Only all this crap goes down, drama between the girls and then the boys sans Frankie get thrown into jail...so the girls are all worried about Brody and Doug, trying to find out what jail they're at and what happened and how do they bail them out when Frankie brings them home and they're all happy go lucky because they didn't go to jail, jail, they were in the casino jail pressing charges on some random guy who wanted to party with them and they didn't want to so the guy got physical with them.

Blah.

So anyway, on Sunday night, Brody made Stephanie cry because he called her a psycho and warned Lauren about how crazy she can be. So like the idiot that Stephanie is, she brings that up at dinner where Brody has been trying to be cool and whatever and starts crying when Brody starts to tell her how it is.

*rolls eyes*

Anyway, I felt bad for Frankie since so much drama went down on his birthday and none of the drama was his drama. Poor thing, but dude he had a girl there that was pretty cute. Go Frankie!

Back at home, Heidi's sister, Holly moves in with them and after 48 hours or so, Spence shows how big of an ass he can be by telling her that him AND Heidi want her gone from their apartment so she takes off. And then Heidi comes home and she doesnt even really say much to Spencer about kicking HER SISTER out of their apartment. He was such an asshole to Holly and all Heidi says is, "I can never talk to you"...WTF? Throw something at him, throw some bow's or somethin' sheesh.

Then the show ends with everyone making up. Holly and Heidi have it out and then have their little teary reunion complete with all of the "I love you" and Heidi has a lot of BF's because I've heard that, "You're my best friend" line so many hot damn times from her, it's like...seriously? You don't have any friends, you only have Spencer and he's an ass that nobody else wants. *shakes*

Audrina and Lauren make up as well. They've been having all this drama between them and neither of them know why. So they finally talk, work things out and Lauren cries black tears and Audrina cries fake tears and then they hug and make up too. I was glad to see that Audrina was the one to go searching Lauren out to have this talk because I've only ever seen Lauren do the groveling so it was good to see Audrina taking the time to try to fix their friendship and then it was also good to see Lauren apologize because she has been being kinda shady to Audrina so woo hoo, alls well in the Bosworth/Conrad/Patridge household now.

Can't see what next week brings!

I LOVE Amy Poehler and Tina Fey. They rock my socks. So I can't wait to see this one. LOL

Carrie is a Psycho Bitch!

Wow.

Holy shit.

Damn.

Whoa.

I don't even know where to start with tonight's episode because there's so much to cover. So to make sure that I don't miss ANYTHING, I'm going to go old school on ya'll and do a rundown of everything in an attempt to make sure nothing gets by me.

I want to start off with my favorite part of the show...well, of the entire show as a whole but not my favorite part of tonight's episode. Leyton. It's no secret that I'm a huge Leyton fan and it's no secret that I'm over the fackin' moon that they're finally together. I totally agreed with Lucas when he said, "Hey, it's a beginning not an end," because they totally are beginning their life together, the life that was meant for them but it just sucks that their timing if wayy off again because this poses a problem for the both of them, once again and this doesn't exactly mean that their going to get married as planned. Peyton and Lucas are going to find out about this and they're not going to get married, not anytime soon anyway.

*sigh*

But I'm not mad at Brooke at all. Right now is not the time to be focused on getting married, right now they have to find out who's behind all of this (duh, Victoria...though, it seems to easy to assume it's Victoria but then again, who else can it be?). I'm dying to find out how this all pans out for Brooke. How much it will change her and will the change be for the best or the worst? It's going to be pretty crazy to see all of this unveil for us. I'm still in shock that this has happened to Brooke. Although, I want to know why she's not filing a police report and why she won't lean on her friends for something like this? Does she really think she'll be able to hide something like this indefinitely? Why would she want to go through something like this by herself? *sigh* Goodness, I'm like so anxious to see what's going to happen. I mean, it's Brooke. She's always so strong and so sure of herself, to see her kicked down and broken, it's just, wow...not Brooke.

I guess, only time will tell what will come to be for Brooke this season.

The whole Deb and Skillz thing isn't appealing to me, at all but I can't hate on it. I mean, it's kind of gross but I have to admit that Deb is the hottest Cougar, I've ever seen in my life. Her and Skillz seem to be happy about their relationship so who am I to hate on it? Though it's going to be hecka funny to see everyone's reaction to it all...I wonder how much longer they're going to be able to hide it though. Jamie has already caught them lockin' lips so seriously...it can't last that much longer. Oh man, the shit is going to hit the fan and it's going to be pure comedy to see everyone react. Oh, I can't wait.

Nathan, Haley and Jamie are just the most adorable thing about this show. I love seeing them interact with each other and I love them when they're apart. They're just the family that everyone wishes they had and the family that you can't help but tune in to catch more of. To see how far, Nathan has come from when we first meet him just amazes me. To see how hard he's working at getting back in shape for the NBA and then to see how honest he is about everything. The drugs he's taking for his back (so glad he's not a junkie like his Mom used to be) and where his priorities are. I just love him and when he told Haley that he loves basketball, but not as much as he loves being a husband and a father to Jamie, I sighed my heart out, it was too cute. I LOVE NATHAN! I can't wait to see how things are going to be for these two especially in light of what happened at the end of this episode.

Holy shit!

I knew what was coming before it even happened and that was because I read some spoilers online last week but I still can't believe that they actually went that route. I mean, I read spoilers all the time but most of them never come true but the one that I don't want to come true, actually does. My heart is totally broken for Nathan and for Haley and Skillz but it's mostly broken for little Jamie. He was so excited about giving Q's cape to him and to think that he'll never get to give it to him just breaks my heart for him. I mean, we got to see the change in Q and we got to see him at his best and this is how it all goes down for him?

*sigh*

Goodness.

Then there are the people that should have died and haven't. Carrie, you know you're a bloodthirsty wench when you are waiting for the day for Dirty Dan to take that bitch down and show her who's the real villain in Tree Hill. Why she fixated all this attention Jamie is lost on me but then again, not really but I look forward to the day that Dan makes her sorry she ever targeted his family. There are so many villains coming out of the woodwork on this show but I'm looking forward to seeing where the writers take it all. I heard a rumor that Chad Michael Murray will be writing some material for this season and I'm interested to see where he plans to take Lucas and Peyton, Nathan and Haley, and even Deb and Skillz...I'm also looking forward to see what he has in store for Crazy Carrie and Dirty Dan.

I guess we'll just have to wait until next week to find out.

Until then....

TV: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Season 2.

Posted by: Rowena in , ,

I didn't watch this show when it first came on last season. I kept meaning to but I kept forgetting when it was on and then other things would come up and I'd forget all about it. But I took the time to catch up on the series yesterday and I'm so glad that I did because I hella love this show.

For those of you guys who are curious about the show but don't know what it's about, here's a quick little recap of what the show is about. In the future, man will go to war with deadly machines who are going to take over the world. John Connor was born to lead the resistance force against the machine. The Machine's get really smart in the war and they go back into the past to try to take John out when he's learning how to be the leader that he's destined to be. So John is going from school to school, trying to stay alive in the middle of many attempts on his life from the different machines sent back to end his life. His future self sends a machine of his own, a machine named Cameron who kicks everyone's ass that tries to kill John and she just totally rocks my socks...I don't trust her but I can't help but hope that she doesn't turn on John because I love her and John together.

Tonight was the season premiere of the second season and wow, what a way to start the season off. I was kinda thinking that Cameron was going to turn bad and I was sad to see that it kinda sorta came true. I can't wait to see what the rest of this season brings where Cameron is concerned, is she going to prove to be untrustworthy? What about Reese? Is he going to get off my iffy list? Cause I don't really get trust him but I still think he is totally hot stuff. I love him but I don't trust him, he hasn't been completely honest with the whole Turk and then the whole Andy thing and it's just pretty crazy that he hasn't said anything yet...although, I guess he doesn't trust them (and by them, I mean Sarah, John and Cameron) which is going to be such an interesting storyline for the season.

I enjoyed tonight's episode, it was totally action packed and just the bomb diggity. I couldn't ever be a leader of men because Cameron totally had me when she was begging John that she was good again and I probably would have let her kill me because I'm dumb like that. I'm so hot damn gullible.

What the heck is Garbage's lead singer? It's going to be interesting to see her part of the storyline come to pass so I seriously cannot wait for more. The other machine that's out and looking for John, that's going to be hella interesting to see his battle with the FBI dude (I'm really bad with the names of the peeps on there that aren't the main characters), I wonder if FBI dude is going to buckle under the pressure and lead him straight to the Connor's.

Another, so does this mean that Kyle Reese is completely done on the show, does this all mean that we're not going to see him ever again? It would have been nice to see John and Kyle together again but then again, I want Sarah to end up with Charlie, so maybe it's a good thing that he's not around.

Is anyone watching this show? Did you guys watch tonight's episode? If so, what did you think? Thoughts?

MEH.

True Blood - Episode One

Posted by: ~ames~ in ,

So the season premiere for True Blood aired tonight. I wasn't sure what to expect going in - I'm such a big fan of the books and you know how movies are never as good as the books - I was torn about a tv show.
I was surprised! The characters aren't what I pictured in my head, but I'm not disappointed with that. Anna Paquin, I didn't think she'd work as Sookie, but I think she's going to do a good job. She is talented. Stephen Moyer as vampire Bill - he grew on me by the end of the show. Sam Trammell as Sam Merlotte? I don't know - I'm holding off judgement on him for now.

Things aren't exactly like the book, but that's ok. As long as Lafayette is around it's close enough for me. LOL

So, did you watch True Blood? What did you think? How does it compare to the books (if you've read them)?

Movie Review: Black Snake Moan.

Posted by: Rowena in , , , , ,

Starring: Samuel L. Jackson, Christina Ricci, Justin Timberlake, etc.
Rating: R, for strong sexual content, language, some violence and drug use.
Grade: B-

There was a time when Lazarus played the blues; a time he got Bojo's Juke Joint shakin' back in the day. Now he lives them. Bitter and broken from a cheating wife and a shattered marriage, Lazarus' soul is lost in spent dreams and betrayal's contempt--until Rae. Half naked and beaten unconscious, Rae is left for dead on the side of the road when Lazarus discovers her. The God-fearing, middle-aged black man quickly learns that the young white woman he's nursing back to health is none other than the town tramp from the small Tennessee town where they live. Worse, she has a peculiar anxiety disorder. He realizes when the fever hits, Rae's affliction has more to do with love lost than any found. Abused as a child and abandoned by her mother, Rae is used by just about every man in the phone book. She tethers her only hope to Ronnie, but escape to a better life is short-lived when Ronnie ships off for boot camp. Desperation kicks in, as a drug-induced Rae reverts to surviving the only way she knows how, by giving any man what he wants to get what she needs--until Lazarus. Refusing to know her in the biblical sense, Lazarus decides to cure Rae of her wicked ways--and vent some unresolved male vengeance of his own. He chains her to his radiator, justifying his unorthodox methods with quoted scripture. Preacher R.L. intervenes, but it is Lazarus and Rae who redeem themselves. Unleashing Rae emotionally, Lazarus unchains his heart, finding love again in Angela. By saving Rae, he frees himself.

This movie was straight up crazy.

Christina Ricci's character was this white trash chick who had just a whole grip of problems, a drug problem, a drinking problem, a sleeping with too many guys problem and she's got this boyfriend who was just shipped off to Iraq but loves her and wants her to stay true to him, only she doesn't. One night, she gets really drunk and high and she finds herself in a whole lot of trouble. She was punched and then left for dead in the middle of a dusty road and then Lazarus picks her up and chains her up and saves her and in turn frees himself from his past.

This movie was pretty good. It was crazy but it was pretty good. It was interesting to see what the heck was going on and to see Lazarus not give up on Rae and helped her see her potential. When we first meet Rae, I did not like her at all, the way she cheated on her man (I totally forgot what the heck Justin's name was in this movie) and to see how she got to be the way that she is, made me like her and at the end when she changed her ways, it made me admire her all the more.

Samuel L. Jackson did a great job with his character in this movie. He was believable and likeable. I liked seeing him deal with his own problems at the same time he was trying to help Rae with hers. I enjoyed seeing them helping each other and if you can get past all of the vulgar love scenes and just vulgarness in the movie, you'll enjoy the storyline.

Movie Review: The List.

Posted by: Rowena in , , , ,

Starring: Malcolm McDowell, Hilarie Burton, Will Patton, Pat Hingle, Mary Beth Piel, etc.
Rating: PG, for thematic elements including some peril and brief incidental smoking.
Grade: C

After the battle of Gettysburg, a small group of South Carolina plantation owners realize that the fall of the Confederacy is inevitable. Coming together on a stormy night at the Rice Planter's Inn in Georgetown, S.C., they formulate a desperate plan to smuggle gold and silver to safe havens in Europe. Out of this meeting is born a secret society known as The Covenant List of South Carolina, Ltd. A hundred and fifty years later, Renny Jacobson, a young Charlotte lawyer, learns that his father has suddenly died. Returning home to Charleston, Renny is shocked to discover that his father bequeathed his significant estate to charity, only leaving Renny an interest in an unknown, obscure entity--The List. Along with a beautiful young woman named Jo Johnston, Renny is caught in a web of intrigue, deception, greed and spiritual warfare that reaches from the steamy coasts of South Carolina to the secret vaults of Swiss banks.

I wanted to see this movie because Hilarie Burton was in it. I'm a big HB fan because of her character on One Tree Hill so I wanted to support her and buy this dang movie but man, I didn't really care for this movie. I didn't think it was the worst movie out but it wasn't the best movie either.

This is one of those secret society movies, a secret society that's been up and running since the Civil War when the rich guys from the south were trying to stay rich and they were hording their money or whatever, it was supposed to be kept a secret and the secret was passed down from son to son since the beginning of the union thing, well it was until Jo's father died before he could have a son, leaving only Jo, his daughter living to hold down the fort.

I really enjoyed Hilarie Burton's character in this movie. She was so down to earth and she just had a great personality. I loved how her character changed Renny's character from the beginning of the movie to the end of the movie. She brought out the best in him and I was glad for it because when he was being dumb and it was all about money for him, I was like, ehhh get over it!

Overall, this movie was just okay...I thought it could have been a lot better than it actually was but it wasn't the worst ever. I enjoyed the love story that grew between Renny and Jo and I enjoyed Renny's land lady and his maid servant lady, they were so cutie patootie and warm. I didn't care for the paranormal effect they had going on over there but blah about that.

Would I recommend this? I wouldn't recommend to buy it, rent it first and if you enjoy it more than I did, then you can buy it but I'd give this one a test drive before shucking out the $18 for this movie.

Movie Review: The Marine.

Posted by: Rowena in , , ,

Starring: John Cena,
Rating: PG-13, for intense sequences of violence, sensuality and language.
Grade: C

John Triton is a heroic Marine who returns home after being discharged--against his will--from the Iraq War. Stateside, he finds himself back in action, when his wife is kidnapped by a murderous gang led by a merciless criminal named Rome. With everything on the line, the Marine will stop at nothing to carry out his toughest and most important mission.

My friend Mulu is a big John Cena fan and she wanted to see this movie, only we never got around to watching this movie in the theater so when this became available on demand, I sat down to watch this movie with my kids.

Chase loved this movie, he loved all of the action and all of the fighting. He thought John Cena was AHmazing and wants to be just like him when he grows up.

Me, on the other hand wasn't that impressed with this movie. It wasn't all that to me. I mean, JC goes to war on his own against all these big time criminals and he comes out on top of course but the storyline was flat, the acting was all that and it was just blah to me.

Would I recommend this movie to others? Not really...I've seen better movies than this one, that's for sure.

Bones Season Premiere

Posted by: Isabel in , ,

Recap here.

I watched all of season 1. Saw the end of Season 3 so I still have a bit of catching up to do.

I thought the season premiere was meh. The first case they solved, ewwwww.... the brother and sister who didn't know they were brother and sister. Gross.

But my main issue was Angela and Hodge's storyline. So Angela gets her divorce. The boss lady sleeps with Angela's ex. Which I get why Angela would be a little annoyed with that. Your co worker sleeping with your ex. Not a cool thing to do. And I get Hodges would be annoyed the ex hadn't left. But I don't get why they broke up. Am I missing something?

Other than that, wasn't too impressed with season premiere.

I MISS VINCE!

I know that there has to be more than me and Grace that used to watch this show, What I Like About You. It starred Amanda Bynes and Jennie Garth. It was a sitcom that used to come on The WB and I used to watch it when I was home on Fridays. It came on before I had DVR so I couldn't really record it but gosh, I really loved this show. Now, I had forgotten how great this show was until I started watching it again on ABC Family. It's a show that me and my kids (that's my daughter and then all of my sisters 6 kids) watch each and every single day after work.

It's become my favorite part of the day to come home and wait for 4pm to come so that we can all gather around the TV and laugh our asses off at the latest stunts and catastrophe's Holly, Lauren and Val get themselves into. I swear, Jennie Garth and Amanda Bynes work extremely well together and they totally crack me up with each and every single scene that they're in together. Each and every single character on this show was hilarious! Gary and all of his, "Oh my damn's!" and Lauren and all of her stupid airheaded crap, Tina's slutty self and Ben's prank? How can you not love Ben's prank on Holly? Or what about Ben's song for Holly? Oh my gosh, I think I sang that song in my head for a month after seeing that episode, Holly Tyler you are such a liar, you are such a liar, oh Holly Tyler...LMAO!

Dude, check it out if you haven't seen the episode here:

...and then I can't forget Ben's prank on Holly after she played that eviction prank on the boys...oh I laughed for days after seeing that one, check it out:

LMAO LMAO LMAO! Gotta love those guys, especially when they're all together, they are too frickin' adorable!

But as much as I miss everyone on the show, I miss Vince and Holly together the most. I thought these two made the show. The way they knew each other so well and how they would fight and then make up and then fight and be stubborn and then still love each other, oh goodness their love story was the best! And how damn....how hot was Vince? TOTALLY HAWT! I LOVE VINCE, he was so frickin' hilarious. Remember the episode where he kept telling Holly to dump Ben and then she'd be like, "What?" and he'd change his answer and say, "What did you think I said? GOD!" LMAO. I love it and I love him! I wonder what's up with him now, does anyone know?

And the end, do you remember this?

LOVE that song and loved that Tina and Gary hooked it up and Val and Vic and then...Holly and Vince, it ended the way it was supposed to end and I'll forever miss laughing my ass off while watching this show.

Did anyone else watch this show? If so, what were some of your favorite memories from this show?

Prison Break- Season 4 Premiere

Ok, Recap if you missed it here. Here are my thoughts.

First of all, how in Hades is T-Bag still freaking alive? I don't understand!!!!!! He should be dead. Gone. Outta here. Instead he's still around.

I'm glad Whistler's dead. Didn't care for him. I was really hoping Gretchen would be dead too but alas she's still alive. Ugh. Don't like that women at all. The only deaths I felt really bad for was Mahone's wife and kid.

Soooooo happy Sara is alive and well. I wondering how they were going to explain that since Linc supposedly saw her head in a box! I was happy with the explanation she escaped. But I'm wondering, if her and LJ were in the same room, wouldn't he have known? Or maybe were separated?

The one thing I didn't buy and thought yeah right was the removal of Michael's tattoos. There is no way he could do an all nighter with that. No way and then be fine the next day? Nope. Out of all the seasons, this was the one thing I rolled my eyes at.

They did trick me with the data card. Cause I thought... ok, looks like they are going to get it. How are they going to stretch out the rest of the season. Then computer guy says it's only part of the info. There are 5 more cards to get. With T-Bag finding Whistler's locker (how did he figure that out by the way?), hit man guy after them, and now Gretchen looking like she'll escape, this will be interesting.

So it does look promising. Last season I was like... meh. I was starting to lose interest. It just wasn't keeping me at the edge of my seat. Hopefully this season will fix that. Cause I love me some Michael Scofield.

Your thoughts?

Mirrors

From the Yahoo Movie Page:

It's been nearly a year since volatile detective Ben Carson was suspended from the NYPD for fatally shooting another undercover officer, an accident that not only cost him his job, but fueled the alcoholism and anger that has alienated his wife and kids and left him crashing on his sister's couch in Queens. Desperate to pull his life together, Carson takes a job as a night watchman at the burned-out ruins of the Mayflower department store, which was destroyed by a massive fire that devoured numerous innocent lives. As Carson patrols the eerie, charred remains of the store, he begins to notice something sinister about the ornate mirrors that adorn the Mayflower walls. Reflected in the gigantic shimmering glass are horrific images that stun Carson. Beyond projecting gruesome images of the past, the mirrors appear to be manipulating reality as well. When Carson sees his own reflection being tortured, he suffers the physical effects of his fractured visions. His sympathetic but skeptical sister Angela dismisses these bizarre nightmares as a consequence of his stress and guilt over the accidental shooting, but Carson's estranged wife Amy, a no-nonsense NYPD medical examiner, is less forgiving. Her husband's increasingly erratic behavior frightens her, pushing his family farther away--and, she fears, it's putting their children in danger. As Carson investigates the mysterious disappearance of a Mayflower security guard and its possible connection to his ghastly visions, he realizes that a malevolent, otherworldly force is using reflections as a gateway to terrorize him and his family. Carson must somehow uncover the truth behind the mirrors--and convince Amy to help him battle the greatest evil he has ever faced.
My friend felt like going to see a movie on Tuesday night and this is what she wanted to see. I don't like going to see "scary" movies in the theater because...just because! LOL I don't want to scream or something in the theater and make an ass of myself. :P
Fortunately for me, this movie wasn't that scary. At the beginning, I was freaked out by the music and the scary things that pop up on screen, but then I got over it. There were still some freaky things going on, but I'm a big girl. I could deal.

So Carson is a retired cop living with his sister. He's just been hired as a nightwatchmen at this old burnt out store that used to be a hospital. One thing he notices right away are the mirrors. The building was in flames, but the mirrors were intact. And they were super clean. So he starts to notice strange things going on in the mirrors and he's not sure if it's real or if it's just him being crazy.

This movie was gory, which I don't mind. It was interesting and I'll definitely watch it again. The ending wasn't what I was expecting and it's actually kinda cool. I'm giving Mirrors a B-. But I think you can wait for the DVD to come out.

Posted by: Rowena in ,

With the fall season fast approaching, Amy, Isabel and myself got to talking about the shows that we're all excited to return to our small screens. So many of our returning shows as well as new shows that we are looking forward to checking out.

It's hard not to be excited when there's so much to be excited about. Old shows being resurrected with new characters (WOOT!), Pacey Witter coming back with a brand spankin' new show of his own, Swollen Face from Grey's coming back to the small screen with a cute little show as well. See? Too many shows to watch in so little time but that's neither here nor there.

Check out the shows that all of us are anxiously awaiting.

Rowena:
  • One Tree Hill (come on, are you surprised at this one? I NEED to find out who the heck Lucas called to go to Vegas with him. It BETTER not be Lindsay. I already know it's not Brooke.)

  • Brothers and Sisters. (I need to find out what the heck is going to happen between Rebecca and Justin, WTF? THEY KISSED? THEY FRICKIN KISSED? GROSS but at the same time, YAY!)

  • Friday Night Lights.
  • Gossip Girl.
