So I was catching up on Life On Mars, and this little one hit wonder got stuck in my head. That and the actor who portrayed the singer is kind of hot. For your listening pleasure.

Former government operative Bryan Mills begins the longest 96-hours of his life--and the hunt for the fearsome organization that has taken his daughter Kim. Mills had only recently given up his government career as what he calls a preventer to be near Kim, who lives with Bryan's ex-wife Lenore and her new husband. To make ends meet, Bryan joins some former colleagues for special security details (like guarding a pop diva), but most of his time and energy are spent re-connecting with Kim. Bryan's familial goal is nearly derailed when Kim requests his permission to spend time in Paris with a friend. All too aware of the dangers that could lie ahead for Kim in a foreign land, Bryan says no, but Kim's disappointment leads him to very reluctantly relent. Bryan's worst fears are realized when Kim and her friend Amanda are suddenly abducted--in broad daylight--from the Paris apartment at which they've just arrived. Moments before Kim is dragged away by the as yet unseen and unknown assailants, she manages to phone Bryan, who begins to expertly piece together clues that will take him to the darkness of Paris's underworld, and to the City of Light's plushest mansions. He will face nightmares worse than anything he experienced in black ops--and let nothing and no one stop him from saving his daughter.

I don't know what my enjoyment of this movie says about me but hot damn this movie was good. I read on Yahoo! Movies that all of the critics gave this movie a C but, I rate my movies based on my enjoyment of a movie and this entertained the socks right off of me. I don't care about anything other than this movie entertained me. Like Lil Mama loves to say when she's judging the dance crews on America's Best Dance Crew, "Ya'll entertained me" and that's what I would say to Liam Neeson should I ever see him and he ask my opinion on this movie.

The subject surrounding this movie isn't a nice one. It's not all peaches and roses but man, the depth of this man's love for his daughter is to be commended. I mean, this fool went on a frickin' killing spree, killing every fool in France to find his daughter. It was tight. The way that he was intently focused on finding his daughter and the lengths that he went to, to get her back made me kinda wish that he was my Dad but then I thought, nahhhh...I'm not stupid enough to go to Paris all by myself and then tell some facking Frenchie fag that me and my friend are all alone and have the whole house to ourselves after sharing a cab and letting him know where the hell we're staying, setting up my own damn kidnapping in the process. So I'm glad that I'm not stupid to need him as a Dad...which is good because I love my Dad. But just because I love my Dad, doesn't mean that it wouldn't be tight to have Bryan as my Dad because he has skills that have been aquired over the course of many years that aided him in his career. Skills that make it a nightmare for people like stupid Frenchie fag because he will look for them, he will find them and he will....kill them.

And he did all of that dammit. It was off the hook. You should you watch this movie for yourself because it was that good.

Watch this movie. Dammit.

Four Jewish brothers living in Nazi occupied Poland escape into the forest where they join up with Russian resistance fighters in battling the Nazis. Throughout the war they built a village inside the forest and saved the lives of more than 1200 other Jews. Based on a true story.

I've been wanting to watch this movie since before the movie came out in the theaters and I finally found the time to watch this movie and I thought that it was a pretty decent movie. This movie is pretty lengthy but overall, I still rather enjoyed the movie.

This movie is about four Jewish brothers living in a time when it was not cool to be Jewish in Poland. It wasn't cool because the Nazi's were killing every Jew and every Jew sympathizer. The movie starts with a bunch of Nazi's on a killing spree and Tuvia's parents were caught in the crossfire. Tuvia and his brothers flee to the forest and start a little Jewish camp that turns into a community and the way that these guys take on fighting the facking Nazi's was pretty intense.

This movie starts off with a bang and though I ended up really enjoying the movie at the end, there were times in the movie where it dragged. While they're building up their little Jewish community in the forest was one of those times. It wasn't as action packed as I was expecting with the directors opting to tell the story of war instead of actually showing it and I think that had they showed more of the fighting, I probably would have enjoyed this movie so much more than I did.

Of all the brothers, Zus Bielski was my favorite. The hot tempered, quick to kill a fool brother was the bomb. The way that he killed his way through Poland rocked my socks. I wish that Tuvia would have killed more people but hey, whatever..he was the good brother. He led his little community of Jews with a kindness and a fierce loyalty that was respectable and I was kind of soft on him but I was hot for Zus....what that says about me, I have no idea but hey, it is what it is. Billy Elliott's character was pretty cool as well. He was the peacemaker brother and he gets married in this movie to a one of the girls that I really liked for him.

This movie dragged a bit but not enough to completely take away my enjoyment of the movie. It was a good movie and I'm glad that I watched it. I recommend it. You should watch it.

Desperate to prove his innocence, Jamal tells the story of his life in the slum where he and his brother grew up, of their adventures together on the road, of vicious encounters with local gangs, and of Latika, the girl he loved and lost. Each chapter of his story reveals the key to the answer to one of the game show's questions. Intrigued by Jamal's story, the jaded Police Inspector begins to wonder what a young man with no apparent desire for riches is really doing on this game show? When the new day dawns and Jamal returns to answer the final question, the Inspector and sixty million viewers are about to find out...

Dude, this movie was good. From the beginning of the movie to the end of the movie, I was riveted. The story of Jamal and the way him and his brother brought themselves up and survived the life that they fell into. It was a pretty fierce slap to the face, the reality that was their lives. With all of the bad things that happened to Jamal, I wouldn't have been surprised if he turned to the kind of life that his brother turned to. The one that caught Latika as well.

I wasn't expecting the movie to turn out the way that it was. Well, actually I didn't even know what to expect from the movie. I hadn't heard much about the movie until I finally saw it and I was pleasantly surprised at how good this movie was. The love story between Jamal and Latika was such a sweet one that it drove the movie for me. It was the reason, I was so into the movie. The depth of Jamal's love for Latika was so unbelievably sweet that I found myself sighing all over this movie. The lengths that he went through to get her to understand that he loved her was TOO SWEET!

*sigh*

This movie was a good one, not just the love story but the story of survival that the boys go through and then the different paths they take make for a very interesting and very engrossing movie. I definitely recommend this movie.
