Season One: Fringe.

Posted by: Rowena in , ,

Man, with all of things slowing down for me and with everything on hiatus right now, it's given me time to catch up on the shows that I want to watch and Fringe has been up at the top of the list of shows I need to catch up.

I love this show.

I never thought of myself as the Sci-Fi type but man this show is seriously one of my most favorites on TV right now.

Joshua Jackson is a huge part of the reason I love this show so much but I really like the entire show.  In the beginning of the season, I used to wonder what the heck the show was working toward.  You know how each show has some bigger storyline that flows from episode to episode, well at first, I didn't see any of that kind of thing for Fringe but the more you watch, the more the show fleshed out storylines and moved other storylines along and by the end of the season, you were left with a bunch of huge OMG'S!
So much is going on throughout this entire season so I'm going to use bullets to cover everything.

Olivia: The whole thing with John and how that whole thing panned out made me happy, sad and then glad that maybe he didn't turn out to be such a bad sort.  I was kind of glad that he didn't turn out to be the traitor that we all thought him to be but with him dead and something simmering under the surface between her and Peter (YAY!) you just know that John is going to somehow come alive in the coming seasons and the love triangle is going to be between John/Olivia/Peter.  I can't wait!

Walter/Peter:  Holy crap in the pants! I so totally thought that the person Walter kept going to visit at the cemetery was Peter's Mom and when it came out to be PETER, I about had a cow!  I mean, for me that was the best part of the show, it was the OMGOSH I GOTTA WATCH IT NEXT SEASON TO SEE WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN because man oh man, I want to see how Peter finds out that he's actually dead.  You know there's gonna be major drama when Peter finds out.  I love how far the relationship between Walter and Peter has grown over the course of the season.  When Peter made that gift for Walter, I thought it was really sweet and I was happy for Walter because it's more than aparent that Walter loves his son and I love Walter because he's so weird and so smart and I love when he says things like, "If your IQ isn't bigger than mine than I don't care what you think" haha, it always cracks me up.  I can't wait to see more between these two in the coming season.

Charlie: I heard that Charlie got fired from the show and so won't be returning next season and as sorry as I am for Charlie, I can't say that I mind much.  Oh well.

Peter/Olivia: I really hope that Peter isn't going to start anything with Rachel because seriously, Olivia is his lobster and I hope that they get the chance to explore what can be between them despite them working together.  I love the scenes between Peter and Olivia and I sincerely hope that they get more screentime together next season.  I'm going to cross my fingers for the rest of the summer just so that can happen.

Staring now, *crossing fingers*

Overall, the season was exciting, fresh and definitely what I needed to get me over my TV funk.  I love this show and can't wait for more.

Is it fall yet?

Army Wives

CJ and Michael

Michael has returned. Something happened and he doesn't have a job with nasa anymore. But he receives a promotion and he's back at Fort wherever they are at! YAY!!!!! Emmaline is still acting a like a brat and pushing buttons.

Joan and Roland

Michael offered Joan a spot on his team. She would be able to stay home and be with her daughter. As much as she wants that, she doesn't not want to let her team down. She declines saying she'll deploy to Iraq.

Roland is helping this guy out by seeing patients. Roland knows he using him so he can write out prescriptions but Roland does feel like he's helping people.

Pamela

They moved into a bigger house on base. Sooo nice. Roxy and Trevor come over to celebrate.

Roxy and Trevor

Nothing much. Trevor wishes he could provide more for his family. Roxy assures him she's fine with how things are.

Jeremy Sherwood

He's saved by this dog. The dog really takes to him and follows Jeremy around. But he's told to get rid of the dog. So Jeremy gives the dog to a friend and the dog whines. awww... I'm thinking maybe he'll be a handler now...

Frank and Denise

So Frank is sent home to take care of his domestic (Denise) situation. Last week Denise dreamed about talking to Frank and he said they could work things out. When she really does talk to him, he tells her not to pick him up at the airport.

He comes home and right away asks if the rumor is true. Denise apologizes and says it was a mistake. She realizes she was wrong and she loves him. But yes, it is true. Franks says she shouldn't stay and that he'll talk to the lawyers in the morning to start things. Denise leaves.

Hot damn. Now, as much as I think this is what she gets, I think Frank still loves her. His pride is in the way. I really doubt they'll get a divorce. If they do, I'll be shocked. another thing that annoys me is Denise's attitude towards CJ. She's still made CJ didn't want to talk to her the night Michael left. CJ explains but Denise is still bent out of shape. I'm sorry, but I don't blame CJ for doing that to you when CJ when was having a crisis of her own.

Pushing Daisies, Burn Notice and Army Wives

Pushing Daisies

The final episode. Sigh... why did they have to cancel it.

So the last episode, they are celebrating Chuck's one year death anniversary. So Ned, Chick, Olive and Emerson go to the Aquadome.. or something. And guess what, Lily and Vivian are there too. While watching Lily and Vivian's rivals perform, a sharks eats one of the girls. It's totally fake but still... I was a little shocked.

The manager asks the Darling Mermaid Darlings (Lily and Vivian) to come out of retirement and perform with them. Also to travel with them to Europe. Once Chuck finds out she's not happy because then she won't be able to see aunts. Ned talks with Chuck and together they decided to tell the Aunt's the truth. The last minutes we see:

Lily ( I think.. the one without the eye patch) learns that Vivian slept with her fiancé and had Chuck. Ned and Chuck knock on their door leaving the aunts speechless.

Olive opens a restaurant dedicated to Mac and Cheese. She is also dating Randy. Penny, Ermerson's daughter, knocks on his door. With the popup book he wrote she found him.

There is also an awesome scene where the camera goes around the town, showing all the places the gang has been solving the murders.

And that my friends is that.

Burn Notice

Yay! Burn notice has started up again. The people who have burned Michael ask him to work for them. Michael says no can do. Fine upper management says, but you get no more protection from us. Turns out upper management has been keeping Michael's enemys at bay. Not so much anymore since Michael said no to their job offer. Yikes.

Then we have Fi. For his birthday, she gives him a bayonet. she tells him that someone told her that loving Michael was like doing battle in the trenches. So the bayonet is to arm himself. Wow. Go Fi.

While trying to dodge the cops, former enemies and trying to get back in upper management's good graces, he's also helping people out. Oh.. and there is a detective sniffing around. she's noticed that since Michael has been home there have been a few more explosions and what not going on. Nice.

Army Wives

I told myself I wouldn't watch anymore. But I did.

CJ, Michael and Emmaline- Emmaline was running away to get married to Logan. Trevor stopped them though. He told Logan how much deep doo doo Logan would be in for marrying the general's 16 year old daughter. He was be committing career suicide. So out the door Logan runs. Awww. CJ and Michael decide that CJ should stay behind with Emmaline. Michael will head over to Brussels. So now CJ needs to find a place to stay and is finding difficult.

The night Michael leaves, Denise shows up on CJ's door. CJ is in no mood to talk with Denise and shuts the door in her face. (I'll explain soon)

Roxy and Trevor- Roxy is just dealing with the bar. First she figures out Betty's "nephew" is really a con artist trying to get some fast cash. Then the IRS comes a calling asking for back taxes. Then a woman tells Roxy her bar sucks. That she should make the bar reflect what Roxy likes. Not what everyone likes. I see a remodeled bar coming.

Pam and Chase- Nothing much yet.

Roland and damn... forgot his wife's name. Joan!- Roland is feeling like he hasn't accomplished much when he finds some news about classmate in his alumni newsletter. He tells Pam that he's not some lovesick girl who fell in love with a soldier. "Hey neither was I! I had a career too," Pam tells him.

And Joan will still be deployed.

Denise and Frank- Denise does the nasty with mac. The hospital finds out and fires her. Cause in her contract it's written no such behavior is allowed. The person doing the firing says, "I served with your husband. What you did is deplorable." Ha ha Denise. You skank.

Then Mac tells her that he's going back to his ex girlfriend to work things out. HA HA Denise. I admit I laughed while Denise was crying. No one to blame but yourself. That's when Denise goes to CJ's house.

Or course everyone finds out about Denise's affair and they are avoiding her like the plague. Roxy, Pam, CJ, and Roland are not sure how to approach Denise. So Roland tries to feel Denise out. Which Denise is annoyed with. Don't blame her there. Yeah I understand they are disappointed with Denise but they are still her friends.

Frank ended up not sleeping with girl over in Iraq. He told her no, he's still married. I love you Frank. Franks learns about Denise's affair. He goes on this dangerous mission and there is trouble. Denise hears about it and is trying to find out what happened and if Frank is safe. Yes, we later learn he is safe.

So there is your Army Wives update.

Did anyone watch Hawthorne? I have it recorded but haven't watch it yet. Is it any good?

Pushing Daisies

Posted by: Isabel in , ,

Ok, really, nothing much happened. Nothing with Ned and his feelings of jealousy with Olive and Randy. Damn. Infact he was actually trying to help olive.

Ya see, she's not sure if she wants to pursue anything with Randy because of her past feelings with Ned. She doesn't want to jump into something and she doesn't want to use Randy to get over Ned. Finally Randy and Olive talk about him possibly being a rebound guy. They decide to see where things lead. I beleive Randy said maybe Olive won't bounce off him...

awwww.

The case of the week has to do with Emerson and his daughter. His baby momma is back. She's accused of stealing and murdering her ex fiancé. Emerson is out to catch her so he can find his little girl. Except Lila finds him first. She didn't kill or murder the guy. If Emerson can prove her innocence, she'll let him see Penny

Emerson does prove it and he catches a glimpse of Penny, his little girl. Lila kind of tricks about him it though. At the end of the episode he finds out his pop up book Lil Gumshoe is going to be published.

One more episode left!!!

Really quick: 1) Loved the dam joke. HA HA. 2) Loved the souvenir picture Emerson, Ned and Chuck took. 3) Loved seeing Emerson as a little boy.

New Moon Trailer

Posted by: Isabel in

I'm sure almost everyone has seen the trailer for New Moon but still thought I'd post it here.

Now... I love me some Edward. I didn't like Jacob in the books. I didn't care for the Twilight movie. I wasn't planning on watching New Moon but after seeing the hotness that is Jacob... I may change my mind about watching the movie and possibly switching from Team Edward to Team Jacob.

Hot damn...

Pushing Daisies

Posted by: Isabel in , ,

Ok, so my dvr recorded Pushing Daisies. Which was odd cause I thought it was canceled. After some research, I found out they airing the final 3 episodes of the show. YAY! So check your tv listings.

Ned has decided not to use his finger powers of bringing back the dead. So Emerson and Chuck are on the own for the most figuring out the murder.

The main story is Olive. When Olive was a little girl, she ran away with these two thieves. The thieves brought her back but were appalled that her parents didn't even know she was gone. The parents called the cops and the thieves were sent to jail. But Olive and the thieves wrote to each other every week since then.

The thieves broke out because... I forget.. I missed that part but they believe Ned and Olive to be engaged to be married. Because Olive wrote so much about Ned in her letters. Ned goes along with his for Olive. She doesn't want hurt the thieves feelings. Also.. I think his name is Randy is back and when he hears the news of the "engagement" he's hurt. awwww....

Well the thieves need to be smuggled across the border. So with Ned and Randy's help, they begin their little road trip. On the way they come across a road blocked by state troopers. Off they head to Chuck's aunt's house. There the thieves announce Ned and Olive's engagement. They are in shock and to prove they are "in love" Ned and Olive kiss. I have to admit, it was kind of sweet.

Oh did I mention, Olive is trying to figure out what Ned meant when he said, "I wouldn't say never" when she admitted in the last episodes, "I'm sorry you never looked at me the way you look at chuck." Well... Ned says something olive about he doesn't mind pretending. Like it's trying on a relationship... I forget how he words it, but it upsets Olive. So much she admits the truth to everyone. They are not engaged.

They figure out a way to escape the aunt's house. Ned brings to a life a rhino. Randy does taxidermy and he had a dead rhino in his van. When the police chase it, Randy, Olive and the thieves escape. Ned heads back into town and helps Chuck and Emerson solve their case.

The episode ends with Ned feeling some kind of tingly feeling. When he watches as Randy take Olive's hand, Ned realizes it's jealously.

Ooooooooo.... I can't believe there are only 2 more freaking episodes!!!!!!
