In a remote mountain tribe, the young hunter, D'Leh, has found his heart's passion - the beautiful Evolet. When a band of mysterious warlords raid his village and kidnap Evolet, D'Leh is forced to lead a small group of hunters to pursue the warlords to the end of the world to save her. Driven by destiny, the unlikely band of warriors must battle saber-tooth tigers and prehistoric predators and, at their heroic journey's end, they uncover a Lost Civilization. Their ultimate fate lies in an empire beyond imagination, where great pyramids reach into the skies. Here they will take their stand against a powerful god who has brutally enslaved their people.
Ames: Rowena and I saw this when I came down to LA last week. I know we had differing views of the movie, so let’s start!
10, 000 BC is about a band of mammoth hunters who have been struck by tragedy. Every year, the mammoth are fewer and fewer and one year, a band of 4-legged demons (men on horseback) strike and kidnap and kill some of the village. One of those kidnapped was blue eyed Evolet, the love of D’Leh.
I liked the movie. Although the beginning had an extremely corny scene, the rest of the movie panned out well. Plenty of action and adventure. But what really appealed to me was all the prophecy-talk. I love that shizz! LOL You?
Rowena: I enjoyed the movie but not nearly as much as Tiffany (my brother's gf) and Ames did. The best part of the movie for me was Steven Strait. That man is just off the chains hot and I can't wait to feature him on Book Binge as a Cast That Hero, haha. I enjoyed the spirit talk lady, the way she would dance when she got a vision cracked me on the inside but man, the more the movie went on, the more cheesy it got.
Ames: Well that's what happens with prophecy stuff. LOL And yeah, your man Steven Strait was hot. I also liked his uncle? The guy who was carrying the white stick. Whatever, the more excuses for men to run around in loin cloths the better. Haha
Rowena: I enjoyed the movie because Steven spent the entire movie being all buff and yummalicious and the storyline was pretty good, it was just the ending that made me want to poke my eyes out because oh the cheese factor! It was so lame. I just thought the first ending was sufficient enough because it would have been damn, all that and then that happens..just all that cheesiness at the end was enough to make me roll my eyes down the block.
Ames: Ok seriously, I liked how it brought the different people together. The mammoth hunters...the tribesmen of Africa and the slaves of the evil pyramid builders. And dude, wtf was up with that creepy tall thing with the long ass finger nails? *shudder* Kind of reminded me of Stargate. LOL
One thing, the ending was kind of abrupt. Know what I mean? Like boom, D'Leh does this and then that happens and tada, the end. Don't you agree? And what would you grade it?
Rowena: I would give this movie a C, I don't have it in me to give the movie anything lower than that because I'm shallow enough to admit that watching Steven Strait in a loin cloth for two hours is quite entertaining all by itself, LOL. And plus, it WAS cool that he did all that he did with bringing all the different people together and stuff out of love for homegirl. I thought that was sweet, like dude my man brought down an army to get me back, now THATS LOVE!
Ames: I'm going to give it a C+ for the storyline and a B for the cinematography and graphics.
In the unsanctioned, underground, and unhinged world of extreme Ping-Pong, the competition is brutal and the stakes are deadly. Now, this outrageous new comedy serves up this secret world for the first time on-screen. Down-and-out former professional Ping-Pong phenom Randy Daytona is sucked into this maelstrom when FBI Agent Rodriguez recruits him for a secret mission. Randy is determined to bounce back and recapture his former glory, and to smoke out his father's killer ¿ one of the FBI's Most Wanted, arch-fiend Feng (Academy Award winner Christopher Walken). But, after two decades out of the game, Randy can't turn his life around and avenge his father's murder without a team of his own. He calls upon the spiritual guidance of blind Ping-Pong sage and restaurateur Wong, and the training expertise of Master Wong's wildly sexy niece Maggie, both of whom also have a dark history with Feng. All roads lead to Feng's mysterious jungle compound and the most unique Ping-Pong tournaments ever staged. There, Randy faces such formidable players as his long-ago Olympics opponent, the still-vicious Karl Wolfschtagg. Can Randy keep his eye on the ball? Will he achieve the redemption he craves while wielding a paddle? Is his backhand strong enough to triumph over rampant wickedness?
So... this movie had its funny laugh out loud parts. The guy who played Randy had some funny facial expressions. However... it was just ok. My husband thought it was hilarious though. Had to watch certain scenes over and over cause they had him cracking up.
Would I say rent it? No. Maybe wait for it come out free on demand.
And did not recognize Lt. Dangle (from Reno 911) as the german guy until the end. Ha ha.
Who's as excited as I am that The Tudor's Season Two is coming back...THIS SUNDAY!
I'm so effing excited that show is coming back. In just a matter of days I'll be able to find out what's going on with that pompous ass of a King Henry (is that okay to say or am I going to get thrashed by the British Parliament or something?) and to see if my main man, Charles Brandon has wised up and to see if he marries his frickin' ward...I have a feeling that he's going to marry her but I wonder if he'll love her for real or if it'll be more of the same from his philandering self.
Last season left off with everyone getting killed off and King Henry wanting more and more power. I think it's only a matter of time before he starts going after the Church and start up his own Church which will later become The Church of England.
What will happen, who will be coming back, who will be leaving the show? Are there going to be any newcomers that will wow me with their superior hotness? I have no clue, so until Sunday I'm going to tide myself over with some hottie pictures of my hubby, Henry Cavill...
Starring: Patrick Dempsey, Amy Adams, James Marsden, Idina Menzel, Susan Sarandon, etc. Rating: PG Grade: A
The tale follows the beautiful princess Giselle as she is banished by an evil queen from her magical, musical animated land--and finds herself in the gritty reality of the streets of modern-day Manhattan. Shocked by this strange new environment that doesn't operate on a "happily ever after" basis, Giselle is now adrift in a chaotic world badly in need of enchantment. But when Giselle begins to fall in love with a charmingly flawed divorce lawyer who has come to her aid--even though she is already promised to a perfect fairy tale prince back home--she has to wonder: can a storybook view of romance survive in the real world?
Izzy and I watched this movie last week for the first time and we haven't been able to talk much of anything else so we decided to review this together, to do a buddy review and instead of me reviewing it and then her reviewing it, we're just going to cut and paste our entire converstaion we had through email about this movie.
Rowena: So what did you like about the movie?
Izzy: I liked it all. lol. The characters, the music, the dance numbers, Robert, Edward, Giselle, ... all of it. I just thought it was a cute movie. Your standard Disney movie. lol.
Rowena: I know me too...the movie didn't drag as most movies I've watched lately have and I really enjoyed the relationship between Giselle and Robert's daughter. I loved when they went shopping and had a girls' day...what did they call it?
Izzy: Oo I forget but when his daughter said, "Is this what it feel like?" In referring to having a mom. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
No, it didn't drag at all.
Rowena: Yeah I really enjoyed the movie and I felt bad for Edward because he just never gets the girl. LOL.
And haha, your Mom thinks that the evil witch of a queen was beautiful...haha.
Izzy: I know. Only my mom.
Ok, here is one thing... Edward. He was a cutie and I liked him and all. But all the past Disney princes were.. dashing, manly. And edward was kind of a bumbling kind of prince. I think it was wrong they did that to poor edward. lol.
Rowena: I see your point but was he really the Prince of the story? I don't think they could have made him the kind of Prince that we're used to from Disney because he didn't end up with the girl, therefore he wasn't really the prince of the story, you know? Like, they deceived us into thinking that Edward was Prince Charming when in all actuality, it was really Robert. And now that I'm thinking on it, it's pretty genius for them to do this because they showed to us that even though Prince Charming is a fantasy of fairy tales, he can also be real...your Prince Charming can be a regular Billy or Joe around your town, it's all in the way we perceive our Prince. So they took a regular guy and made him into a Prince that we could all appreciate and relate to. Ya know?
That's what I think is really great about this movie.
Izzy: Never thought about it that way. Good point. Still, they could have made him a little more alpha. I still loved him though and I'm glad he got his HEA.
Robert now... Robert... Like you said yesterday. Loved when he was dancing with her at the ball and sang to her. Sigh
Rowena: Now Robert when he sang to Giselle at the ball at the end, my heart did a little pitter patter inside my chest and I imagined it was me that he was twirling around the dance floor and singing to. haha.
Alright, what's your favorite song? Mine is How Will I Know? And funny thing, last night Chloe opened up the window because it was super hot in our room and she sang out into the night (we were straightening up our room) and she started singing the cleaning song and sang, "Ahhhhh ahhh ahhhhhhhhh" and I go, "Oh great, you killed all the animals in L.A."
LMAO.
Izzy: LOL! She did that! LOL That's too funny! Dang, I would have to say my favorite is the Happy Working Song. I don't know... there is just something about it. La la de dum dum. LOL! She expects her woodland friends and the pigeons, rats and roaches show up. LOL!
a close second is That's How you know. When they all bust out dancing and singing and Robert is just standing there. lol.
Rowena: Yep, that totally happened last night and me and Chelsea were all cracking up.
When Robert is just standing there all embarrassed at first because she's all singing with the sidewalk drummers, "How does she know that you love her?" haha...it was hilarious. Dude what was hilarious though was before the song started, how she started to sing to Robert and he's like, "Whoa wait, what?" and she's all singing, "How will she know you love her?" haha.
Izzy: LOL! I know. Cause you know what, I got embarrassed too. thinking.. oh no. Something is gonna happen. LOL! Then everyone started singing and I was like.. ok. LOL! So I felt his embarrassment too.
I think deep down, Robert believed in true love and all that. He was just in denial and Giselle just kind put all there in his face you know?
Rowena: Look, it's the best scene! *sigh* I LOVE IT!
Izzy: The chick who plays nancy... bugs me. It's her face. lol.
Awwwwww!
Rowena: She's got a long face and a nose that just won't quit...I'll always see her singing about the cow that jumped over the moon on Rent, lol.
What else did you want to add?
Izzy: You should add what me and you said yesterday too. Like When Edward kissed Giselle and she didn't wake up. Awwwwww. Poor Edward.
I don't know. I just thought this movie was just too cute. I had to buy it and the soundtrack cause I just loved the songs.
Rowena: Alright, I'll add that stuff too...I'm watching the Happy Cleaning Song. I love the songs too. I even love Carrie Underwood's song.
Izzy: I love so close. The carrie Underwood song, it's all right. But... So close cause.. Patrick Dempsey. LOL!
Nancy just looks... i don't know. In that scene, not pretty. The other scenes she looks all right. She can sing though.
Rowena: You know, I had to put that song on right now, right? LOL...PD is just too effing cute in this movie. We sound like little schoolgirls, giggling over how cute the football captain is.
Izzy: He was too cute. sigh. What about when he freaked out with all the rats in the house. Lol.
Rowena: That was hilarious and when he got all pissed off that she cut his curtains? TOO EFFING CUTE.
Izzy: I know! But then the next day when he sees it, he smiles. awwwww.
When Pip was trying to tell Edwards Nathanial's plot. lol.
Rowena: Oh I know, and how Edward thought everything was about him. IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU EDWARD! Oh and another thing I liked was how sure Giselle was that Prince Edward would find her. I thought that was cute.
Izzy: Oh i know. Edward will come for me. That was cute. lol.
Or how about how upset she was when that one couple was getting divorced or when she thought Pip died.
Rowena: Oh you're right, that was cute too!
So should our readers watch this movie or what? What's your final verdict?
Izzy: Hell ya they should watch it. lol.
Rowena: Amen sister, A-frickin'-men! Check out this scene, if you're not sure..it's funny and just so uber cute:
The Kite Runner - I really want to see this. You know it's going to be good stuff when the PREVIEW makes you cry. LOL I saw the Mist in the theaters with my brothers. The scariest thing about it, a la Stephen King, is the people. Mob thinking and religious zealots scare me. The stuff in the mist was cool, would like to have seen more of the creatures - but Cloverfield filled that empty space in my heart. LOL
Yeah, the judging panel had too much fun with Fatima's arm pit. LOL The photo shoot was a close up portrait, and Fatima, who has never ever shaved before, had her arm up beside her head. So yeah, the judges were amazed that someone who wants to be in the business wasn't meticulous with her body fur. Personally, I didn't even notice. But wth, I'm not in the modelling business, so if the experts say the fuzz has got to go, Fatima should listen.
Anyway, the challenge this week was posing and judged by Benny Ninja - vogue poser extraordinaire.
In the end, Marvita who appears to have caved into herself at judging, was the girl to get the boot. That's too bad, because I had this secret hope that Marvita would be like Jaslene. Get kicked off the first time you try out for the show only to come back stronger and win the whole thing. Alas, that didn't happen.
Okay, tonight's show was the business! The straight up, in your face, make you scream business! It was such a good episode for me.
It was so good to see Karen and finally meet Lily (cute but not as cute as my Jamie!) and then oh my! Mr. Andy is back! Andy from New Zealand, oh goodness I love that man, I loved him when he was on the show and I was so frickin' stoked to see him back. So he got his VISA and was able to come back? The guy that's richer than rich and teached anyway?
YAY FOR ANDY! He's back and he's still sexy as all get out. Alright, seriously...let's get down to the nitty gritty of tonight's 100th episode of One Tree Hill, my favoritest of favorite shows on the whole planet!
Brooke: I knew she wanted a baby. I knew that was her reason for coming back to Tree Hill. When she was talking to Karen and Peyton and she was going on about children, I knew that was the reason she came back. Brooke would make a kiss ass Mom and I really hope that she does get her kid (as long as Lucas isn't the Dad) because she needs to have someone in her corner and someone all to herself. She deserves a bit of happiness and I'm wondering who the father of her baby's gonna be...Owen? Lucas? Mouth? Skills? Who? I guess we'll have to wait to find out, GO BROOKE!
Nathan/Haley: So are they back together? I hope so because they need to be together because they're better together, just like Jack Johnson sang. I really felt for the both of them when Jamie was kidnapped and holy hell you guys, the whole Grandpa Dan saved me, that is totally a set up. Dan hired Carrie to work in the house with Jamie, paid her to get close to Jamie so that she could take him so that Dan can save him and bring him home and back into the fold. That was Dan's ticket back into the family and I do not believe for one second that Dan has turned over a new leaf and wants to be a good person because he's not a good person, 4 years is not going to change that. Gosh, I can't wait to see all the drama that turns out from this whole madness because it's gonna be good....FOR real.
Peyton/Lucas/Lindsay: How Lindsay ever could have thought that Lucas was writing about love...writing about her and be happy when she read his book, knowing when he got his inspiration and knowing everyhing about his history with Peyton, how it didn't make sense right off the bat that he was writing about Peyton, I just don't know. How it all made sense when everything came together, hearing about the story in it's entirety, the reason that Haley didn't want Luke to marry Lindsay and just everything made me love Peyton so much. It made me hurt for her because Lucas, the stubborn fool that he is, said, "I do" to Lindsay. It didn't matter a fig that he wrote ANOTHER story about Peyton (and how awesome was that story? I so want to read that book) because he said, "I do" to Lindsay. He must have loved her enough to go through with the wedding and through it all, Peyton stood and respected his wishes. And it seriously, SUCKED for her but stand by him, she did because she sacrificed her love for him to make sure that he was happy.
And when we saw Peyton's dream of how she stood up and told Lucas that they belonged together because he fixed her car. I thought, oh goodness, this is why they need to be together, Lucas needs to remember that he fixed Peyton's car and he set their story in motion and their story is far from over. They're story is still waiting to be told, it's waiting for Lucas to finish writing it. It's waiting for Lucas to finally come to grips with the fact that his line in his first book about how he does and always will love Peyton Sawyer so that they can start living their love story out.
I really loved that Karen came back to town to be with Lucas on his big day. I loved how she took time out to go see her girls, Brooke and Peyton. I loved seeing her bond with them because she was such a great mother to the both of them. She was there for each of them when they needed her and I loved seeing them all back together and to hear Karen's words of advice to the both of them. If anyone knew what she was about, it's Karen Rowe. She's lived through it all and remains the same, loving and caring woman that we all know and love. She's a fantastic role model for Brooke and Peyton and I loved that she could be there for Brooke, so soon after her big showdown with her own Mom.
I really enjoyed this episode and I thought it was a fantastic 100th episode. I loved all the flashbacks and just everything about this episode except when Lucas said, "I do." When he said, I do, it pierced my heart and I felt Peyton's heart break all the way from across the country. This episode was, *sigh* really, really good.
And I can't wait until April 13th for more episodes...WOO FRICKIN HOO! That's only about 3-4 weeks, somewhere around there.
Sorry for the lack of posts regarding new releases on DVD. I was swamped and since I still am pretty busy, I'm just posting pictures, no links. If you're interested, you can find out what the movie is about on your own. But seriously, if you don't know what these movies are about, you must have been living under a rock.
Hee hee, just kidding.
Rowena and I both enjoyed I am Legend. I want to buy it, but am hesitant as we're going to be switching to Blu-Ray in the future and I don't want to buy a movie twice. Unless it's coming out in HD. Will need to research further.
Danny is an intelligent, confident, handsome young man who also happens to be blind. Not that he's letting that hold him back--for the most part, Danny refuses to let his visual impairment get in the way of anything. Which is why Danny's girl-crazy, limo-driving brother Larry is horrified to discover that Danny is not only shy and nervous when it comes to the opposite sex, he's also a virgin.
This movie was ok but it was cute. It has it's lol moments. And I thought Danny was a cutie. I saw the preview to this movie on Waitress and thought it looked worth checking out.
The movie is about Danny wanting to meet a nice girl. He wants to fall in love. But all the girls he meet are just wacko. lol. He meets one girl and he falls head over feet in love with her. Too bad she's already engaged.
Also you have Danny having an experimental surgery to bring back some of his sight back.
Grade: B for Danny. Like I said he was cute. Over all, I'd give it a C. Could have been better I think.
Two sisters, Anne and Mary Boleyn, are driven by their ambitious Father and Uncle to advance the family's power and status by courting the affections of the King of England. Leaving behind the simplicity of country life, the girls are thrust into the dangerous and thrilling world of court life--and what began as a bid to help their family develops into a ruthless rivalry between Anne and Mary for the love of the King. Initially, Mary wins King Henry's favor and becomes his mistress, bearing him two illegitimate children. But Anne, clever, conniving and fearless, edges aside both her sister and Henry's wife, Queen Katherine of Aragon, in her relentless pursuit of the King. Despite Mary's genuine feelings for Henry, her sister Anne has her sights set on the ultimate prize; Anne will not stop until she is Queen of England. As the Boleyn girls battle for the love of a King--one driven by ambition, the other by true affection--England is torn apart.
Movies based on books very rarely match or outshine the original format. There are a few exceptions (Lord of the Rings for example) but I'm sorry to say, The Other Boleyn Girl, starring my man, the Eric Bana, does not fit in the exceptional category. tsk tsk
Based on the novel of the same name by Philippa Gregory, tOBG was a big let down. I'm still glad I saw it though - I'm that big a fan of EB. But having just finished the book-the way this movie should have been was fresh in my mind.
First of all, the movie was choppy. The book covers 15 years of Mary Boleyn's life, and this is not conductive to a 2 hour long movie. A mini-series, a la Tudors, would have been more preferrable. (Especially with EB in it - LOL) So compounding the choppiness of the movie was the big chunks of missing information. And there was no sense of closeness between Mary, Anne and their brother, George.
I'm going to give the Other Boleyn Girl a C-. Read the book instead.
Last night on ANTM, the girls got hot with some firemen. Who can blame them?
So I missed last week's makeover episode because I was in Vegas. I love the makeover episodes-but the results this week are good. The contestants look good. I like Whitney's blond hair and Marvita's long locks with the shortness still in front.
So who went home last night? Well it came down to Amis and Fatima. With Amis, the judges doubted if she even wanted to be on the show. (They tore apart her outfit, with a headband. A headband for goodness sakes!) Amis' defense was that she uses humour to cover up nervousness.
With Fatima, the judges felt she was relying too much on her prettiness and not really making an effort. However, one thing I do not doubt is Fatima wanting to be on the show.
And I believe that's what made the judges kick Amis to the curb - Fatima's drive is stronger.
Was that not a good episode or what? I mean seriously, I don't even know where to begin, this episode was that off the hook!
Haley didn't get on my nerves as much as I thought she was going to get on them tonight as she was blind to her own son and seriously Haley, how can you ignore a child as cute as Jamie? How cute was Jamie and Skills? Oh gosh, you can just see how much genuine love Skills has for little Jamie and it's not creepy like the love Carrie has for him...if it's even love Carrie had for Jamie. Haley did get on my nerves a little bit and even though I know how she feels but even she had to have seen the way Nathan can't stop wanting to fix things and for her to not take advantage of that irks me a little bit.
I'm glad that she had that talk with Skills, I'm glad that Skills put her in her place when she tried to get all high and mighty about the way they were handlin' her son...atleast someone remembered he was around so she shouldn't be talkin' about any hot damn body ...gosh, you just gotta love Skills. Why does he not have a love interest?
And speaking of love interest, HOLY HOT DAMN Bevin is married and has a son? A not so good looking son, a son that looks NOTHING like little Jamie and who's name is...NATHAN? Are you effing kidding me? Who did she marry? Tim?
Ugh, there the writers go, teasing us with little tid bits of information, leaving us wanting more. I seriously want to know what happened that Bevin and Skills are not together anymore..what happened Bevin?
So Rachel took the money and split...I'm not really surprised since that's so something Rachel would do in high school, she hasn't changed that much so whatev. I just didn't expect her to do it so soon. And just when Peyton had finally paid Brooke back all the money that she owed her for the loan she got for opening her own label. I can't wait to see Peyton's next artist.
And LMAO LMAO LMAO! How funny was it to see Owen's friend???
Oh. Em Gee.
Frickin' CHASE? Awwww, he looks good too. Really good, it's good to see Stephen not looking like such a spaz. But I LIKE OWEN, I know that Chase is probably Brooke's lobster but he's not Owen...Owen is so hot and if Chase and Brooke get back together that means that Brooke is going to break up with Owen and I'm not ready for that.
But every week I love Brooke more and more. Her character is so strong and so admirable that I can't help but wonder why she doesn't see in herself, what everyone else sees. I loved that scene at the end when she finally gave Bitchtoria the ol' Donald Trump, it was music to my ears when she finally told Bitchoria, "You're fired" I was cheering like no other because FINALLY, Brooke finally realized that she doesn't need any Negative Nancy's or Debbie Downer's in her life. Gosh, I'm so hot damn proud of Brooke I'm beaming over here, you can't see it but it's totally happening.
*claps*
But I AM ready for Lucas to finally get over himself and stop this farce of an engagement to Lindsay and fess up and go after the woman he really loves. I'm such a punk but I just don't give a damn who she is, who her father is and all that, I just want Lucas back with Peyton.
Forever and for always.
Lucas + Peyton= True Love Always
Remember, Lucas? That's how it's supposed to be.
Dare I write a letter to you, Lucas?
Ugh.
Anyway, so many things are going to pop off next week and I really want to know...why the hell would Carrie think that she's invited to the wedding? What could possibly make her think that she has a right to be there?
Seriously?
I guess we'll just have to wait until next week to find out, huh?
I needed a couple of days (okay a whole week) to think about what I wanted to blog about pertaining to this week's episode of One Tree Hill.
First off, how many of us wanted to strangle Carrie's skinny little neck when she ruined Nathan's life? Nathan has been nothing but kind to her since she started working for them and how does she repay him for his kindness?
She wrecks his marriage.
I get that she doesn't like Haley but why doesn't she like Haley? Because Haley is married to Nathan? You know what Carrie, IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU CARRIE!
I went back and forth with this one. On one hand, Nathan was an idiot for not coming clean with Haley about the whole flirting with Carrie and the kiss and the swimming in the pool naked, ALL of those things, he should have been told Haley about it so he really has no one to blame but himself for the way things are with his marriage right now. All that talk about if Lucas is man enough to cheat on his girlfriend then he needs to be man enough to come clean about it to her and then not telling Haley about all of that crap was bound to come out and it was bound to drive Haley bat shit crazy!
Hello???
Do I think that Haley overreacted? Apart of me thinks that yeah, Haley did overreact a little bit because she should have had more faith in Nathan but with everything that's going on and she told Nathan that the shower thing better be it and then Carrie enlightens her about the kiss and the naked swimming...what else was Haley supposed to do? Jump for joy?
I don't think so.
So, I don't know...in this episode, considering everything, my final answer on the whole Haley overreacting, I guess not especially because I can see where she's coming from. What else is she supposed to think? If he wasn't honest with her about the kiss and the naked swimming, how was she supposed to react to the scene that she came home to?
*sigh*
Next week, however...with Haley just giving up on Nathan period, yeah that's a bit much...like Lucas, I guess she forgot that she loved Nathan.
In this episode, Nathan couldn't get anything right. What I don't get is with the whole Dan's hearing thing, why didn't Nathan speak up and let everyone know the real reason why he went to see Dan. He didn't go there to spend some quality time with his father, he went there to end the relationship, the sever ties with him, to tell Dan that he was dead to him and that he didn't have a grandson...WHY didn't Nathan say something about that?
I swear, that boy has got crap for brains.
And then the whole Brooke and Owen date in New York turning into a big drama with Rachel OD'ing and almost dying...first things first, I thought it was really cute that Owen swooped right in and took on the role of medic, nurse and bodyguard. When he took his shirt off to kick the drug dealer's butt, I did get a little light headed because all that muscle in my face is enough to do that. haha.
I knew that it was Rachel that Brooke fired and I knew that she (Rachel) was going to pop back up again and wreak havoc and just like I knew, she did.
At the end of the episode when Rachel is telling Brooke not to leave her again, I'm like...okay, so is Brooke moving back to New York or is she taking Rachel back to Tree Hill? It's going to be interesting to see what goes down with all of that. I love seeing Brooke in this kind of role though, where she's the good friend, the responsible friend, the friend that everyone turns to but she's got her own problems that she's got to deal with and I can see a lot of problems overwhelming Brooke soon...I can't wait to see how everything turns out and what Brooke's got up her sleeve for Rachel.
Lots and lots of things to look forward to.
The one thing that I'm most looking forward to next week is Lucas and Lindsay's wedding. Is it really going to happen? Am I going to be right and Lindsay's going to be the one to break things off, is Peyton invited to the wedding, if she is, is she actually going to go?
See? So many things to look forward to, I cannot effing wait...it should be very very good next week and I'm sitting on the edge of my seat, anxious to see what goes down.
Cause it's most definitely going down...until next week.
So I've been watching this show. I had no intention of watching of this but Joey was all excited about it. Anyway, I got sucked in. However, I missed a few episodes so I was a little lost on what was going on.
That and I guess the show takes place in between the second and third movie. So everything that happened in the third movie didn't happen. Which.. I keep forgetting.
Yesterday was the season finale. I really hope it gets picked up again. Anyways, here are my two favorite clips from the season:
Home girl is a terminator. Well, an unknown cyborg. Earlier she was sent to a ballet class because the teacher was the sister of someone they were trying to locate. In the class, the teacher mentions dance is the human language of the soul. Later, without being told, she does this dance. The guy in the clip is Derek Reese (Kyle's brother) who has a thing against the machines. Which is understandable.
The second clip, Derek takes John out for his birthday. John knows Derek is his uncle but hasn't told him.
Here are the list of episodes from this season. Anyone else watch this? Anyone else glad Ellison wasn't killed at the end and wondering why he's still alive? Did Cameron survive? I hope so.
Starring: Ellen Page, Michael Cera, Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, Allisan Janney, J.K. Simmons. Rating: PG-13 Grade: A
Juno is a whip-smart teen confronting an unplanned pregnancy by her classmate Bleeker. With the help of her hot best friend Leah, Juno finds her unborn child a "perfect" set of parents: an affluent suburban couple, Mark and Vanessa, longing to adopt. Luckily, Juno has the total support of her parents as she faces some tough decisions, flirts with adulthood and ultimately figures out where she belongs.
I saw this movie last night with my sister and my nieces and we laughed from the beginning of the movie (with Dwight, HA!) to the end with bouts of tears in between as well. I, personally didn't cry which surprises me since I'm the family sap but I was touched in some scenes of this movie. I really enjoyed the movie. It was one of those movies that made you smile, giggle and then laugh out loud because the lines, the lines in this movie were a laugh a minute.
Juno is hilarious all on her own but her dad cracked me up, when Juno finally told her parents that she was pregnant and she tells them who the father of the baby is and the Dad is all surprised and the best friend laughs and is like, "I know, right?" and then when the Dad tells the Step Mom after Juno and the best friend go upstairs, when he says, "The next time I see that Pauly Bleeker, I'm gonna punch him in the weiner." HA! Oh goodness, this movie was good. I loved Bleeker's gold shorts, I laughed when Juno tells us that they don't wear underwear underneath those gold shorts and then it zooms in on their junk and you can see it swinging back and forth...LOL, too funny!
I liked Jennifer Garner's character in this movie, you could tell just how much she wanted a baby and you could tell that she was ready and that Jason Bateman wasn't...I didn't know that he didn't want to be married either, but dude...there was a part of the movie when I was like, "Wait a minute...what's going on here?" but I got over that part especially since everything ended well.
Juno totally made this movie enjoyable but the other characters added to the good stuff in this movie, it was truly a really cute and funny movie, one that I totally recommend to all of you guys who are looking for something funny to watch. That song that they sing at the end, I was crackin the heck up when Juno sings, "Here's the Church, there's the steeple, we're pretty cute for two ugly people!" Oh goodness, it was too funny...and don't even get me started on her hamburger phone! hahahaha.
Juno is the movie to watch, it's too cute! Go forth and watch it now!
Starring: George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Scott Caan, Casey Affleck, Don Cheadle, Bernie Mac and a lot of other guys. Rating: PG-13 Grade: B- What are the odds of getting even? Danny Ocean and the gang would have only one reason to pull off their most ambitious and riskiest casino heist--to defend one of their own. But they're going to need more than luck on their side to break The Bank. Ruthless casino owner Willy Bank never imagined that the odds were against him when he double-crossed Danny Ocean's friend and mentor Reuben Tishkoff, putting the distraught Reuben in a hospital bed in critical condition. But Bank miscalculated--badly. He may have taken down one of the original Ocean's eleven, but he left the others standing and, worse for him, gave them a shared purpose: to take Bank down on the night of what should be his greatest triumph--the grand opening of his new casino, appropriately named The Bank. Their strategy is twofold. First they will ruin him financially by turning the tables on the precept that the house always wins. But that's just money. The knockout punch will be to Bank's personal pride and joy: his reputation as the only hotelier who has earned the Royal Review Board's Five Diamond Award on every single one of his hotels. The plan is elaborate, dangerous and damn near impossible--but there are no limits when it comes to one of their own.
Alright so I netflixed this movie a few weeks ago and I'm just getting around to watching it this weekend...and I don't know how I feel about it. It was good to see everyone back together again and it was great to see them all working together again to avenge Rueben's honor or whatever and I enjoyed watching it but did I love love love it the way I did the other movies?
Nope.
Did I hate the movie beyond measure and am pissed off that I wasted those two hours of my life that I won't ever get back?
Nope.
I guess I'm just indifferent to the whole movie. Brad Pitt still looks good, George Clooney was extra handsome and I was even digging Matt Damon and his sexy nose (okay not the nose but MD was lookin' good too hot diggity dammit!) I enjoyed the brotherhood between Ocean's 12 and it was hilarious to see them bring Andy Garcia into the plan and be part of the team...unofficially..or whatever.
I was annoyed with Al Pacino and was glad that they did him dirty...I was jumping for joy when they totally did him in on that first day, their revenge on him had me laughing.
One thing that totally creeped me out though was Emily Berkin's cleavage in this scene.
PUKEY!
She should never ever wear low cut blouses with her fake boobs and her disgusting looking chest...ugh, it was horrible, me and my nephew Chance were looking at her in that dress and totally embarrassed for her because she has a terrible looking chest, its so hot damn nasty.
EWWW!
Poor Matt Damon and his sexy butt had to sit there and film scenes with her while her fake boobs were all just sitting on top of her chest with the stretched skin, looking all gross and ugly and just disflippin'gusting!
Was this movie good? Meh, yeah it was cool, I guess...but it's not the best Ocean's movie but it's still heaps better than Elizabethtown. =)
