Step Brothers

Brennan Huff, a sporadically employed thirty-nine-year-old, lives with his mother, Nancy. Dale Doback, a terminally unemployed forty-year-old lives with his father, Robert. When Robert and Nancy marry and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as step brothers. As their narcissism and downright aggressive laziness threaten to tear the family apart, these two middle-aged, immature, overgrown boys will orchestrate an insane, elaborate plan to bring their parents back together. To pull it off, they must form an unlikely bond that maybe, just maybe, will finally get them out of the house.

Ok, i didn't really want to watch this one cause I thought Talladega Nights wasn't that great. But I was laughing through out this movie. Mainly cause the brothers reminded me of my husband and his two brothers. This one ended up surprising me.

Mamma Mia

Donna, an independent, single mother who owns a small hotel on an idyllic Greek island, is about to let go of Sophie, the spirited daughter she's raised alone. For Sophie's wedding, Donna has invited her two lifelong best girlfriends--practical and no-nonsense Rosie and wealthy, multi-divorcee Tonya--from her one-time backing band, Donna and the Dynamos. But Sophie has secretly invited three guests of her own. On a quest to find the identity of her father to walk her down the aisle, she brings back three men from Donna's past to the Mediterranean paradise they visited 20 years earlier. Over 24 chaotic, magical hours, new love will bloom and old romances will be rekindled on this lush island full of possibilities.

I like the musical better. My favorite song is Take a Chance on Me. I wish they would've done like the musical but it was still cute. Pierce Bronson, oh my. He should not sing. I had to fast forward his parts cause I just felt embarrassed for him. As for the movie, it was all right. My biggest complaint, as with the musical, was that it seemed some of songs didn't fit with the scene. Or they tried to hard to make a musical with Abba songs. Like it didn't flow right.

Cadallic Records

The rise and fall of Chess Records, which launched the careers of Muddy Waters, Etta James and Chuck Berry. Leonard Chess scoured the South, checking out the various blues scenes and selling records from the back of his Cadillac.

Typical rock and roll picture (Ray, Walk the Line, La Bamba). Interesting story. I enjoyed the music. Beyonce did cover Etta James songs pretty good. However her version of At Last, didn't really like it. Etta James's version is much better.

Ghost Town

Bertram Pincus is a man whose people skills leave much to be desired. When Pincus dies unexpectedly, but is miraculously revived after seven minutes, he wakes up to discover that he now has the annoying ability to see ghosts. Even worse, they all want something from him, particularly Frank Herlihy, who pesters him into breaking up the impending marriage of his widow Gwen. That puts Pincus squarely in the middle of a triangle, with spirited results.

Joey and I were cracking up at this movie! Bertram in the beginning is how Joey is at work. And just some of the stuff he did cracked me up. Like when he's in the elevator with Gwen trying to talk to her. Or when he's asking his co worker for drugs. This movie was cute. We both enjoyed it.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Posted by: ~ames~ in , , ,

Movie Description from Yahoo movies: "I was born under unusual circumstances." And so begins "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards: a man, like any of us, who is unable to stop time. We follow his story, set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man's life can be.
Starring: Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Jason Flemyng, Taraji P. Henson, Julia Ormond

Grade: A

I'm a Brad Pitt fan, so there was no doubt in my mind about going to see this movie.  I really enjoyed it!

Brad Pitt's character, Benjamin, was born an old man and promptly abandoned by his father.  He was raised by a caretaker of an old folks home in New Orleans.  This was the perfect place for him, an old folks home, since he's already an old man.  LOL  As he gets to be in his teens (and roughly in his 70s/60s) Benjamin moves out on his own and goes to work on a tug boat.  While on his travels, he writes to one of his friends back home, Daisy.  She was the granddaughter of one of the women in the old folks home and she always knew there was something different about Benjamin.  So Benjamin eventually comes home and Daisy is now a young woman and he's still an old man (60s/50s).  Daisy is also a ballerina and after a failed attempt at seducing Benjamin, she goes overseas where she's in a terrible accident.  When Benjamin goes to see her, she tells him she doesn't want him to see her like she is (stuck in a bed, very cut up) and so he leaves.  Daisy eventually goes looking for Benjamin once she is healed and they get together.  I love this part of the movie because their ages aren't too far apart at this point and they make sweet sweet love all over the place.  LOL

So imagine you are with a woman who gets older and you get younger.  Imagine trying to be a father to a child that gets older as you get younger.  These what ifs plague Benjamin and create an interesting scenario to ponder.

The acting is superb, Brad Pitt is beautiful to look at.  The movie does run over 2 hours, so get comfortable.  It's good stuff though.

mini movie reviews

I saw Burn After Reading in the theater and I still laughed like a damn hyena when I watched it the other night on DVD. Some movies, I laugh at them in the theater, but when I watch them at home for the 2nd time, they're not as funny. This was sooo not the case with Burn After Reading.
I can't really do a summary of the movie because the movie doesn't really focus on one person. There's Osborne Cox, the CIA analyst who gets fired from the CIA and his wife, played by Tilda Swinton who is sleeping with George Clooney, a US Marshall who is very paranoid. Then there's Brad Pitt's and Frances McDormand's characters who work in a gym and find some "secret shit" and try to return the information to Osborne Cox for a small reward. It's interesting how these characters all come together because they don't seem like they have a connection, but they do.

Jason Statham, oh how I love to watch your craptastic movies. LOL I mean really, this guy does action movies so well, so even if they aren't that great, they're still fun to watch. I enjoyed Death Race. Jason's character, Jenson, used to be a race car driver and after he's convicted of killing his wife, the warden of the prison asks him to drive in her televised prison race Death Race. There are no rules and the prisoners try to kill each other because if a driver wins 5 races, he can go free. Jenson figures out that he was set up because the warden is an evil bitch (played by a botoxed Joan Allen) and he's gotta win this next race or he's a dead man. Good stuff!!

Teena liked the House Bunny, so I thought I would give it a try. And I did get some laughs out of it, but Anna Faris kind of annoys me. (Which is too bad because she stars in the movie version of one of my fave books of 2008 20 Times a Lady.)

It was fun to see Hef, Holly, Bridgette and Kendra in this movie. They actually had lines and more than one scene. So that was good. So Anna Faris is this playboy bunny who turns 27 and is immediately kicked out of the Playboy Mansion. She ends up becoming a house mother for a nerdy sorority that seriously needs pledges. So she transforms all the girls and falls in love with some guy in the process. Meh, this was just ok.

Pushing Daisies

My thoughts on Pushing Daisies.

Ok, so Ned isn't too happy that Chuck tricked him. She apologizes but ned forgives her cause he did the same thing when he brought Chuck back. Chuck grabs a tarp so she can hug him. Kind of sweet.

One problem. Charles doesn't like the rules Chuck follows. He says he'll follow the rules only if Ned stops seeing Chuck. Which I guess they agree to. Except Chuck figures it like Charles being protective of her. She kisses Ned (using saran wrap) and Charles catches them. Which suprises Ned. Charles isn't supposed to be in the Pie Hole. Being a zombie and all. They both get into a scuffle. Which when Chuck comes back, Charles is totaling faking his injuries.

Emerson had warned Ned that Charles wouldn't follow rules and Ned should just "tap that" HA HA! And Ned confronts Chuck. Chuck is all, "Sending my dad is NOT an option." And I'm thinking, you selfish little (*&*(&! He's threatening to expose Ned just because he wants to go out and see the world. It's like Chuck doesn't care. UGH!! That's what got on my nerves.

Chuck's dad tells her they can go on adventures. That this life isn't what Chuck would have chosen. But she chooses to stay with Ned. The show ends with Charles driving off. See Ned, you should have just did what Emerson said.

Emerson and Olive were just too darn cute. I love Olive. I'm starting to wish Ned would notice her now.

Show Rundown

Prison Break

So now T-bag has paired up with Self. Self holds Gretchen's family hostage so that she'll find a buyer for Scylla. Unfortunately for Self, Michael withheld a small portion of Syclla, so it's worthless. HA HA SUCKER!

Now the gang needs to regroup and go up against Self.

Pushing Daisies

Ned raised Chuck's dead for what he thought was a minute. But then Chuck tricked Ned and well now Chuck's dad is alive. The person who died in Charles place, was Dwight. At the end of the episode, Chuck confesses to Ned what she did. I wonder how Ned will take it. He can't get too upset cause he did the same thing with her.

I thought the comfort food contest was great. I loved how Olive said she wanted to win first prize and wrap it around the Muffin girl's neck. Awesome. I really hope someone else picks up this show.

Bones

I finally got to watch last week's episode. Nothing much except Brennan's dad is now working for the Jeffersonian. Now.. I'm still watching season 2, but her dad killed a guy and was in hiding. How is he now out and about? Anyways at first Brennan is no, you're fired. But then Booth convinces her to let her dad stay.

My favorite part in the episode is this (since I can't find the clip you'll have to settle for this):

Max Keenan: Can I ask you a question?
Special Agent Seeley Booth: Sure.
Max Keenan: You - are you - uh are you sleeping with my daughter?
Special Agent Seeley Booth: No.
Max Keenan: Why? Are you gay?
Special Agent Seeley Booth: [chuckles] No.
Max Keenan: She not attractive enough?
Special Agent Seeley Booth: Bones is beautiful.
Max Keenan: Is it because of me. Because I killed one man and we *both* know he deserved it.
Special Agent Seeley Booth: All right just cut it out, Max. I'll talk to her. Probably won't do any good. I'll talk to her.
Max Keenan: You're a good man. And I want that for her.

Awww, I love how Booth says Bones is beautiful.

Grey's Anatomy

Posted by: ~ames~ in , ,

Ok, I've been watching this show all season and I need to weigh in on some things.

First of all - Izzy and Denny.

WTF????

I hate hate hate this storyline. Izzy and Alex were together, then a heart patient comes into the hospital and Izzy is now seeing and SLEEPING with Denny. He's a ghost. No one else can see him. And now stalker ghost is following deranged Izzy to the hospital and screwing up her job. (Although I did find Denny's reaction cute when Alex kissed Izzy.) And then Izzy showing up for the surgery at the last minute? What about the clinic? Does nobody notice her not doing her job? Hasn't she gotten into enough shenanigans in the past???

I have a theory about Denny the ghost. Writers' revenge on Katherine Heigl. Why? Oooh remember some comment she made about not having good material to work with so she doesn't deserve an Emmy nomination blah blah blah?? Yeah, I think this is payback because how the hell is Izzy gonna come back from f**king a ghost?

Second - Christina and Hunt

I am disappointed with this storyline. Why? In the season opener, Hunt was awesome! Then when he comes back, he's all distant and troubled by his experiences. That's ok, that's fine. But now he seems to be all better and here I thought Christina would have had to work to make him open up to her. Like she would have fought for him. So the disappointment stems from my own expectations. Also, I would have preferred more screen time for them. We’re just getting little snatches of stuff going on with them, so more would be better – in the case of this viewer.

Third – Lexie and Sloan

I so didn’t want these two to get where they were going. But after last night – I’m on board. Lexie is making Sloan a better person. And what woman doesn’t want the ability to change a man for the better? LOL So yeah, Sloan looked soooo tortured when Lexie was asking him to teach her. His body language (half turned away) just emphasized his conflict – he wants to do the right thing, but he can’t resist the girl. I loved the end – when he said he was bad. Oh yeah you are!

Fourth – Callie and the new intern, Sadie?

So they kick Erica’s character off the show but now they have Callie going after another chick? This really pisses me off because the only reason they kicked Erica’s character off the show was because she wasn’t “hot” enough for a lesbian romance. But this new girl is – so Callie is back to being a lesbian? Again I say – WTF? But still, glad they’re including a non-heterosexual storyline.

Izzy's take

Ok I am done with the Izzy/Denny ghost sex story line. I think it's dumb. DUMB I SAY! I found a spoiler about Izzy and Denny. Don't know if it's true but it's the only thing that can explain what is happening with her. Click here if you want to check it out. Even with that explantion, it's still a dumb story.

Anyways, Izzy is having fantastic ghost sex and doesn't even care about the solo surgery. So she doesn't even try to kiss Christina's butt.

Speaking of, Christina won the solo surgery but because of the interns playing operation on themselves, her punishment is to pick one of her peers. And since the interns are banned from the OR, the winner gets to pick someone to assist. Let the butt kissing begin. George was funny. Meredith got on my nerves. But Alex, he did make the best case. I just loved how he tried to kiss ass but couldn't cause it was Christina.

In the end Christina picks Alex. Yay Alex. By the way, I love his character now. The way he looked for Izzy and told her he loved her. *squee* I'm sucker for tortured heroes and Alex, in my opinion, fits the bill perfectly! I really hope whatever happens with Izzy it doesn't make him revert to the butthead he was.

I also loved they toned down Dr. Hunt. He was just too macho manly man for me. When he told Christina, "not here" when she was going to break down and cry and took her to the vent and distracted her from the solo surgery. I thought that was sweet. I felt bad for her losing the solo surgery cause she did deserve it.

What else... Lexie and Sloan. I'm on the fence with this one. I think Sloan needs a woman and a story but I don't know if it should be with lexie. I was really hoping for Lexie and George to hook up. We'll see how this goes.

As for Callie and Sadie, meh is how i feel about the story. I just don't buy it at all.

Dr. Dixon, don't really care for her either. (Ames - neither do I.)

PAUL WALKER IS BACK BABY!

Posted by: Rowena in , , ,

I am a huge fan of Paul Walker, well mainly, I'm a big fan of his looks but whatever. Paul Walker and Vin Diesel have teamed up once again with everyone from the first couple Fast and the Furious (or so it seems) to film another Fast and the Furious 4 and I for one, cannot effing wait to see it. I loved the first Fast and the Furious and I am seriously looking forward to this one.

Check out what I could find of the movie:

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker reteam for the ultimate chapter of the franchise built on speed -- "Fast and Furious." Heading back to the streets where it all began, they rejoin Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster to blast muscle, tuner and exotic cars across Los Angeles and floor through the Mexican desert in the new high-octane action-thriller.

When a crime brings them back to L.A., fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto (Diesel) reignites his feud with agent Brian O'Conner (Walker). But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to outmanuever him. And from convoy heists to precision tunnel crawls across international lines, two men will find the best way to get revenge: push the limits of what's possible behind the wheel.

Woo hoo, I can't wait! Vin and Paul back on the screen together again? YAY ME! Here's the official trailer for the movie:

Fast & Furious

Seriously, I'm so stoked about this movie!

Movie Review: Role Model

Posted by: Rowena in , , ,

Starring: Paul Rudd, Seann William Scott, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Bobbe' J. Thompson.
Rating: R
Grade: B+

Danny and Wheeler are two salesmen who trash a company truck on an energy drink-fueled bender. Upon their arrest, the court gives them a choice: do hard time or spend 150 service hours with a mentorship program. After one day with the kids, however, jail doesn't look half bad. Surrounded by annoying do-gooders, Danny struggles with his every neurotic impulse to guide Augie through the trials of becoming a man.

Unfortunately, the guy just dumped by his girlfriend has only sarcasm to offer a bashful 16-year-old obsessed with medieval role play. Meanwhile, charming Wheeler tries to trade in an addiction to partying and women to assist a fifth-grader named Ronnie in redirecting his foul-mouthed ways. It would probably help if Ronnie's new mentor wasn't an overgrown adolescent whose idea of quality time includes keggers in Venice Beach. Once the center's ex-con director gives them an ultimatum, Danny and Wheeler are forced to tailor their brand of immature wisdom to their charges. And if they can just make it through probation without getting thrown in jail, the world's worst role models will prove that, sometimes, it takes a village idiot to raise a child.
After we were stuffed from our Thanksgiving feast, a bunch of us piled into the car and went to the movies. I wanted to see Twilight again but since everybody had already seen the movie with me, HA! I settled on seeing this movie instead.

I'm so effing glad we went to see this movie because we laughed from the beginning of the movie when we met all of the characters until the very end when we were cheering the country of KISS My Anthia! We wanted to be Kiss my Anthians so bad after the movie was finished, this movie was that funny.

This movie starts off with the two main characters, Danny and Wheeler, they're friends and co workers and they work for a energy drink company which has this promotional thing to keep kids off of drugs and drinking Minataur I think it's called...whatever, it's frickin' funny. They visit schools all over and Danny speaks about staying off of drugs and drinking their drink and Wheeler is dressed up as a Minataur and just shakes his butt and dances around while screaming, "TASTE THE BEAST!"

Danny hates his life so he's like out to make everyone else's life as miserable as his is. His girlfriend dumps him and he kind of goes on a mean streak of wreckless behavior which lands him and Wheeler in a whole lot of trouble.

Their punishment? They've got to be Big Brothers to some kids in a program called Sturdy Hands.

Danny gets paired up with an older kid named Auggie and he's into all that fantasy shit. He's really into the mock battles which makes me think of Lord of the Rings type stuff and I swear, that kid is one strange kid but oh so funny. He was a good kid, a good kid who was just misunderstood by his parents and he added all kinds of funny to this movie.

Wheeler gets paired with a young black kid named Ronnie and I swear I loved this little kid. He had a mouth on him that would have gotten him smacked all day long had he been in my family. He was just this bad ass little kid with a smart mouth and an evil little mind. The stuff that this kid got into had me laughing my ass off.

I thought that each kid was perfectly paired to the adults. They were all like minded without even knowing that they were. The cast was fantastic and just the whole thing of this movie screamed funny to me. It was a really fun movie to watch after eating such a humongous meal, I felt like I lost 10 pounds from laughing those calories away.

The ending of the movie was just frickin' classic. Hilarious. I frickin' loved it! It was seriously good comedy. Ronnie was the bomb, Auggie was outstanding and Danny then Wheeler rounded off this movie as the funniest movie I've seen all year. Too frickin' funny.

The rest of the cast did a fantastic job of making this movie even funnier. The King of Cynthonians I think they were called did a great job of creeping me the freak out. Everyone from Laire was fanfrickintastic, we walked out of the movies talking like all of them and Beth was pretty great too.

Would I recommend this to you guys to watch? Heck yes, if you're in the mood for a whole lot of laughs then this is the movie for you!

Prison Break-Holy Crap

Posted by: Isabel in , ,

I missed the first half hour. When I started watching, the guys all had the General hostage in his office. The General is smug thinking they guys have nothing. He's going to walk away and the boys will have done all this for nothing. That's where you are wrong General.

At that moment Sarah calls. She has the General's daughter, one of the card holders, at gun point. Now the General is not so smug. He tells the agents to stand down as they leave the room safely.

Once the boys are on their way to the airport, the general sends his men. Linc and Michael split up from Sucre and Mahone. The agents then catch up with Michael where they make him give the bag containing Scylla up. Except Michael had given Scylla to Sucre for safe keeping. Awesome.

Self meets the gang at the warehouse. Gives Michael's their papers saying they are free men. Tells them he'll have an ambulance come get Michael and some others will be shortly to pick the rest of them up.

An hour later Michael calls Self. The number has been disconnected. Self is with receptionist/secret agent girl. She has T-bag cuffed in the back seat. (Gretchen turned on T-bag. Was about to kill him when Secret Agent Girl comes after them and Gretchen escapes) Self asks her if she heard of any other buyers for Scylla. Nope. Secret Agent girl asks to see Scylla and Self shoots her!!!!!!!!

Cut back to Michael opening the envelope only to find blank pieces of paper. WTF?! Self double crossed them! Oh hell no.

And the thing is, I knew something had to open. Because I didn't hear about Prison Break ending mid season. I thought maybe the General or even Wyatt would have showed up as they were turning Scylla over. Nope. Freaking Self double crossed them. Oh hell.

TV Shows: One Tree Hill- You Have To Be Joking...

Posted by: Rowena in , ,

Oh. Em. Effing. Gee.

Now this is the kind of show that I'm used to from One Tree Hill, it is episodes like tonight's episodes that keep me being the fan that I am for this show.

I mean, at the beginning of this show, Chloe (my niece) and I were wondering why Q is still on the show if he's dead. We thought he was helping Nathan out with his unresolved issues with his self worth and he needed to square those away before he can finally walk into the light but now we're thinking, maybe he's still around because his killer is still out there.

And Oh. Em. Effing. Gee.

It wasn't Victoria, the attack on Brooke had nothing to do with Victoria, but with Sam.

Oh wow.

I was shocked when that curveball came flying my way tonight because wow, from Sam? And now she's run away??? WITH Q'S KILLER?

Oh wow, do you guys think that Q is going to avenge himself by saving Sam or is something bad going to happen to Sam that causes Brooke and Julian to bond together and fight to save her? I don't want anything bad to happen to Sam but damn, how the world turns, eh?

I'm liking the whole Brooke/Julian pairing because I effing love Julian. That guy is frickin' hot stuff and I want him to join the cast permanently. I want him to be on that show for many moons to come and I want him to paint a white picket fence around Brooke's house and set up shop in Tree Hill with her. Can you imagine the kind of drama that will bring? I mean, first with Peyton and then with Lucas? Man, the drama will certainly be enough to have us talking and guessing for an entire season or two.

Bring on the Julian drama please, because the more drama he has, the more airtime he'll get.

Woot!

I'm still kind of trippin' on the whole Brooke/Sam thing. I mean, wow...Sam's friends did that to Brooke? How the heck was she supposed to feel about that? How is she supposed to move on from that? And now, the guy who shot Q's brother knows where Sam and Brooke live? He knows what kind of living arrangement Sam has with Brooke and he basically knows everything there is to know about the both of them.

Oh flippin' joy.

It's going to be interesting that's for sure and I seriously hope that Julian is a good guy because I seriously have the hots for him.

How cute was Jamie? His little comedy act/piano gig was too cute for words even though Brooke looked like a man laughing in the audience, I was like, oh Brookie that's not a good look for you, stop it right now but it's all good in the hood, I still loves ya babe!

I thought Nathan was a cutie patootie too, you know he's going to make it into the NBA and you know that something is going to happen and will jeopardize his career and then he'll have to make that decision and he'll have learned from the mistakes of his past and he'll get it right this time....and then one part of Q's mission on earth will be taken care of.

The whole Lucas in Hollywood thing was dumb. I didn't care for it at all, I didn't care that Dawson Leery has turned into a coke snorting big wig Hollywood type deal and I didn't care one twit about Lucas' storyline tonight. I'm dying to see what will happen when Lucas finds out that Peyton might have cancer.

Whoa, I totally didn't see that one coming either. I thought that Peyton's big storyline was going to be is she really over Julian or not? I had no idea that she'd be battling cancer and all I gotta say is, GOOD JOB ON YA WRITERS, that was a genius idea. Way to bring the angst. The whole bit with Mia was unbelievable but I still ate it up, like a fat kid eats twinkies.

The one thing that I'm really trippin on from this entire episode is MILLICENT AND OWEN? WHAT THE BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP?

Millicent is stupider than even I thought. I haven't been a big fan of hers lately and it's basically got to do with not trusting Mouth but this, THIS THING she's got going on with Owen, oh hell to the no....not only is Owen, BROOKES MAN (even though it's not really, but you know what I mean), how can she do that to Mouth? I mean, I guess I expect that from guys because they always eff things up but MILLICENT? Oh no, I expected more from her and she's sorely disappointing me. Frickin' hoey slut Gigi, go back to where you came from.

Man, I can't believe that we have to wait until January 5th before we can get new episodes again, I'm so pissed about that. That's like two months from now and that's soooo far away but you know that I will be anxiously awaiting that mess to come back because there is so much to look forward too.

Ooh wee, I can't wait. Did you guys see tonights show? What did you guys think? What storylines are you anxious for after the winter break? What are your thoughts on Julian? I heart him even if he might be bad...still, YUMMA!

Until January....

True Blood - final thoughts

Posted by: ~ames~ in , ,

So tonight's episode was the season one finale. It ends with a dead body in Andy Bellefleur's car. Which is where the second book picks up, so it's all good. It makes sense now that character Marianne being introduced the way she was. I didn't like that at first, but now it's all making sense. LOL

So that was interesting about Bill sacrificing himself to save Sookie - although it doesn't quite happen like that in the book. Overall, there were quite a few changes from the book that I really didn't like. I will say this though, I'm watching season two, if there is one (I haven't done my homework to see if this show is getting picked up or not). I'm enough of a fan to keep watching. Plus the opening credit song is just so catchy!

What are your thoughts on the show?

A group of self-absorbed actors set out to make the most expensive war film. But after ballooning costs force the studio to cancel the movie, the frustrated director refuses to stop shooting, leading his cast into the jungles of Southeast Asia, where they encounter real bad guys.

The was all right. I thought it would be much funnier. It seems the best/funniest parts were the ones with Tom Cruise. The rest of it... meh.

Here is a scene with Tom Cruise Dancing as the credits roll.

Movie Review: Twilight.

Starring: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Cam Gigandit, Nikki Reed, etc.
Rating: PG-13
Grade: B or C+

Bella Swan has always been a little bit different, never caring about fitting in with the trendy girls at her Phoenix high school. When her mother re-marries and sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn't expect much of anything to change. Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen, a boy unlike any she's ever met. Edward is a vampire, but he doesn't have fangs and his family is unique in that they choose not to drink human blood. Intelligent and witty, Edward sees straight into Bella's soul. Soon, they are swept up in a passionate, thrilling and unorthodox romance. To Edward, Bella is what he has waited 90 years for -- a soul mate. But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy. But what will Edward & Bella do when a clan of new vampires -- James, Laurent and Victoria -- come to town and threaten to disrupt their way of life?

Have you ever been so obsessed with something or someone that you've thought that maybe you should get your head checked? I have and even though I'm 28 now, I can't seem to care that I was right there at that midnight showing with all of those other teeny boppers cheering every time Edward Cullen came onto the screen.

I know, I know, it's pathetic but I couldn't help it. Edward is hawt stuff.

As far as the movie goes, it wasn't as spectacular as I was expecting and the book is ten times better than the movie but that didn't stop me from eating the entire movie up. I sat there and thought to myself, wow I remember that, ooh I remember that and oh yay, I know what's going to happen next and it was just a really good way to spend a few hours for this Twilight fan.

It's hard for me to review this movie because I liked it but I also thought that it could have been better...I just don't know how.

The actors did a great job at their parts. Bella did stupid things and she was exactly the way that I pictured Bella to be. Young and dumb and annoying at times. Edward was just as hawt and as fantastic and as stalkerish as I remembered from the books (with the exception of Eclipse because we all know how I felt about him in that one) and I loved him. I loved him in the book and I loved him in the movie. I ate up every moment that he was on the big screen.

The movie followed the book for the most part but there was just something missing from it all. Don't ask me what it was but there was something missing and as much as I enjoyed the movie here are some of the things that I didn't like.

  • When Edward shows Bella what he looks like in the sun, in the book he looks all glimmery and like thousands of diamonds are shining all over his body. In the movie, he just looks like he took an extra long dip in his Esme's Body Glitter by Victoria. And then when Bella tells him he's "beautiful" like that, I wanted to slap her and give her my glasses because beautiful he was not, girly was more like it.
  • I didn't like that we didn't get to see very much of the secondary characters. It was like everyone revolved around Bella and Edward. In the books, we got to know the other characters but I didn't see much of that in the movie. Everything was glossed over and I wanted to see more of Jasper.
  • Rosalie wasn't as pretty as I expected from the book. I mean, when we first saw who they casted as Edward, I thought, yeah right he's not pretty enough to be Edward but in the movie, I saw why they cast him because he fit in the role of Edward Cullen. I thought he was damn near perfect as Edward, I can't say the same about Rosalie. I kept waiting for her to grow on me and when she didn't, it sucked.
  • How lame the antagonists were. James, Victoria and Laurant were in the movie and I just thought that they were lame. They weren't scary, they were stupid and just lame, lame, lame-o.

There are more things that I'm surely forgetting but oh well, those are the major things that I didn't care for in the movie.

As a whole, I enjoyed the movie and I think Twilight fans will be okay with it. If you can get past all of the lame shit that happens like with James and Edward's ballerina shine then I'm sure you'll enjoy the movie, just don't go in expecting to be blown away by the perfection that is this movie because you might be disappointed.

I've got some questions about the other movies though because word on the street is that they are talking about shooting movies for all of the books and that means that New Moon is up next. I wonder if they're going to cast an older Jacob since Jacob got considerably bigger in that book and older. Shark Boy did well as Jacob in this movie but he's too young to play the impossibly ginormous Jacob that we'll meet in the other books.

I enjoyed this movie and I'm sure you will too so I would spend another $10 to watch this one again...but then again, I'm Twilight obsessed and there's on cure for it.

Saw an article where Pushing Daisies is canceled! That just sucks. I guess it ends with a cliff hanger too. UGH!!! Can't they let Pushing Daisies at least finish the season. Why are they canceling the show?

Needless to say I am sad. I'm hoping that this is will be like Lipstick Jungle and there will be something later saying Pushing Daisies is not canceled.

So from the looks of the article we have 7 more episodes to enjoy.

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa

Posted by: ~ames~ in , ,

So I took a bunch of kiddies to see Madagascar 2 this weekend. (Again, cannot stress how wonderful having a big family is - I'll ALWAYS have a little kid at hand to take to see a kid movie. hehe)

We all enjoyed it of course. From the sullen teenager right down to the spoiled princess I call my goddaughter, we were all laughing. I like the lemur king, monkeys and penguins. And the kids enjoyed the four main characters more. Which makes sense. :P

So Mad2 picks up after Mad1. The penguins have reassembled the plane (remember the plane that the lemurs met in in the first movie?) and created a giant slingshot. Why? So the animals could go back to New York. Unfortunately, the plane doesn't make the trans-atlantic flights and crash lands somewhere in Africa. So the crew really are now in the WILD.

Good times, good times. The old granny is back - she's still beating on lions with her purse. LOL And we get to see Alex as a baby lion. Awww, he's so cute.

I recommend going to see this movie if you have young children. Adults without kids, you can wait for the DVD. :P

Sarah Connor Chronicles-Strange Things Happen At The One Two Point

Posted by: Isabel in , ,

This show confuses me sometimes. I often have to ask my hubby to explain. But I still enjoy the show.

Cromartie's body is missing when John and Cameron go back to Mexico to destroy it. Only one other person knew of it, Ellison. Ellison swears he doesn't know what happened. Liar liar. He had it and turned it over to Weaver. Why? Ugh.

Jesse finds a man from the future, Old Fischer. Turns out not only did he help the machines, he also tortured Derek in the future. Only Derek doesn't remember. Derek at first kind of believes the guy when he says he's not who they think he is. So Jess brings in Young Fischer. Derek notices Old Fischer's tattoo and knows something isn't right. Old Fischer does finally admit he is who is. That he was sent back as a reward. He remembers Derek. Derek makes a move to kill Young Fischer but Jesse kills Old Fischer first. Got that?

What I don't get, why not kill Young Fischer? Or both of them? Wouldn't that make more sense. Hubby thinks that Jesse left Young Fischer alive for a reason. He also thinks Jesse is a double agent. I don't know what to think.

Also going on, Sarah is having weird dreams about 3 dots. They mean something but what. Until next time.

Prison Break- Quiet Riot

Posted by: Isabel in , ,

My thoughts on Prison Break for this week.

First of all, what was it Gretchen sent Michael? What is Sara doing just sitting on the bench? I must know!

The alarm went off when Michael touched Scylla. The General was alerted and they are all rushing over towards Scylla. It has to be all part of the plan. Michael wouldn't have gotten that far to think there wouldn't be one last security measure. I'm anxious to see how that move plays out.

Self and receptionist, her name escapes me, are now being held captive. I knew it was a trap. Knew it. Self and home girl should have been more cautious. I wonder who she is to Self.

Wasn't it sweet that Sucre was praying for Michael. I really like Sucre. I hope nothing ever happens to him except finally reuniting with Maricruz.

The whole time they were breaking though the wall, I was nervous. Cause you knew something was going to happen. Sure enough there was a close call with Sucre almost dropping the canister. Had I been there, I would've caused so many close calls, they would have left me for dead.

Turns out the little girl at Gretchen's sister's house is her daughter with the General's. That's just kind of.. ewww. After he realizes she was really trying to get the 6th card instead of some nookie, he tells her that he'll shoot her if she ever shows her face again. Which you know they'll meet again.

We'll see what happens next week.

Life on Mars- Who's Bad

Posted by: Isabel in , ,

Ok, thought this beginning clip was funny. Ha ha.

Ok, so after a night of partying, Sam receives a phone call from a phone that's unplugged. It's his mom telling him that if he doesn't respond, they're going to pull him off of life support at 2 pm. Gene walks in shortly saying they have a hostage situation. If the demands aren't met by 2 pm, the hostages die.

Sam has to figure out how to communicate with his mom to not take him off life support and to save the hostages.

My thoughts so far:

I really like this show. I loved when Sam fell off the table and popped back up saying, "who's bad." I like how he could see Maya on the tv via soap opera.

I'm also wondering if what Sam does in 1973 will show up in 2008 when and if he returns. I'm hoping that he'll look up Annie and say, "Told ya I was from the future." That's just me.

Next week Sam meets his dad. That should be good.

Show Recap

Prison Break

Michael needs surgery or he'll die. Which, we know he's not going to die. So how is Michael going to have the surgery and still be able to help out with Scylla?

The receptionist is an agent. What T-Bag will do with that info, yikes. Gretchen is going get the 6th card from the general. Which my co worker and I kind of figured earlier on. But naughty school girl... so over done Gretchen. lol.

And when Sucre busted out the spanish in frustration when he was standing on the bomb, funny.

Sarah Connor Chronicles

My husband and I both don't like Riley. When Cromartie didn't kill her last week, we kind of hoped something would happen to her this week. Cause she's just... annoying and I don't like her. With her surviving what happened with Mexico maybe she'll be less annoying. Maybe she'll leave!

John was also getting on my nerves. Hopefully he'll start to man up a little. I get he wants to live a somewhat normal life but he knew for a long time he would never have that.

I'm waiting for Derek's girl to turn on him. I know she's up to something, I just don't know what.

Looks like Cromartie seems like he's done for now. Is it just me or was he kind of sexy for a terminator?

CSI

Last night's episode was meh. I'm looking forward to next week's with the miniature dollhouse killer and all that. How many more episodes do we have left with Grissom? Do you think he'll be killed off or reunite with Sarah?

Grey's Anatomy

Now that Alex is becoming the man I knew was lurking below the ass munch surface, Izzy starts seeing Denny's ghost. I didn't watch season 2. I missed out on the whole Denny/Izzy story. I get he was the love her life. But next week showing Izzy making out with Denny's ghost... I don't know. It has to be a dream. I don't get why are they bringing this up now. Why not last season when he first died?

I just feel bad for Alex. He's opening up to Izzy. He's trying to be there. He's acting like a total sweetheart and I'd hate form him go revert back to his old self. I really hope they cut crap with Denny and Izzy.

Where oh where has George gone. He gets his residency and now non existent.

Looks like Sloan is eyeballing Lexie. The conversation with Shepard telling Sloan to keep Little Sloan away from Little Grey- funny! I don't know about sloan and lexie though. I was kind of hoping for Lexie and George but looks like that won't happen.

I don't if I like Hunt or not. He's too... macho manly for me. I like manly men, but Hunt is just too much for my taste. And I'm not feeling anything with him and Christina yet. Speaking of Christina, I hope her busting the interns practicing on themselves is wake up call. She needs to teach them so that they don't continue it.

That's it for this week.

I have Bones and Life on Mars recorded. Hopefully I'll get to watch them over the weekend.

TV Shows: One Tree Hill:

Posted by: Rowena in , ,

I spend less and less time watching TV these days. There's just so many other things that I spend my time doing. I've been reading more, spending time with my family and then there's the writing thing. As much time as I'm spending NOT watching TV, you should know that I'm still watching at least ONE of my shows every week.

Two shows, actually.

One Tree Hill is one of them. Not much is really going on except Nathan quit Slam Ball and he's talking to a dead Quintin. Q is like one of his imaginary friends. Brooke is dealing with her teenage roommate and then Haley's singing at Peyton's little concert for the troops and Sam is working her debt off for Peyton since she wrecked her wedding dress, Mouth is trying to figure out what the hell he's going to do about Gigi and Lucas is struggling over his jealousy of Julian and Peyton's past love.

And now my thoughts on it all:

Nathan: Nathan's storyline is pretty tame compared to everyone else's drama. It was good to see Q again, even if we saw him as a ghost. I'm glad that Q came back to show Nathan what he was giving up and making Nathan own up to why he quit Slamball. It was cute to see them two bonding over basketball (or slamball whatever) again because I didn't realize how much I miss Q on the show until I saw him back tonight. I can't wait to see what Nathan does with all of this new insight that he has into himself. And can I just say....NATHAN IS FINE! That boy has grown up since that little piece of shit that I could not stand in the first season!

Haley: Not much to say where Haley's concerned because she doesn't have much of a storyline right now. Her biggest thing on tonight's show was that she was having stage freight right now and that wasn't all that big because she did a great job lip synching so meh, that's how I feel about Haley's storyline right now.

Millicent and Mouth: Okay this whole Millicent being jealous thing is getting on my nerves. I know she doesn't trust Gigi and she has every right to not trust that little shit but I hate that she's not showing much trust in Mouth. Don't trust Gigi but goodness, show a little faith in Mouth. It's starting to piss me off.

Brooke: When the heck is Brooke and Owen going to get back together? I hope that she hooks it up with him because she needs a man in her life. Everyone in her life has someone to go home to except for her. Brooke Davis needs love too dammit! Now that we've got Peyton and Lucas all situated, let's switch our focus over to Brooke and take care of her. I love Owen but I'm not at all adverse to seeing some Julian and Brooke action. That would definitely be an interesting hook up, don't you think? I'm crossing my fingers for that one.

Lucas and Peyton (and well Julian too): This is the storyline that I'm most vested in. I'm trying to figure what Julian's agenda is. Is he back in Peyton's life to try to get her back or does he really believe in Lucas' book? I don't believe that. I don't believe that he really wants to make this movie because he believes in this book. I really think that he's back to try to get Peyton back and if Peyton falls for this jerk (really, HOT jerk but jerk nonetheless) I swear I'm going to karate chop her in the neck and bust a roundhouse kick to her face! Lucas and Peyton are doing good right now and though I think they need a dramatic storyline (which this one fits perfectly into that) Peyton BETTER NOT mess this up.

I want the best friend triangle to be brought back to life through Brooke and Julian and then maybe Peyton will finally realize why Brooke was so pissed off about Lucas and Peyton. That's the storyline that I want to see happen on One Tree Hill next. That would have me tuning in with relish each and every week.

Now on to next week's episode...what the heck is all that about? The back in the day business? I guess we'll just have to tune in next week for all of that goodness.

Until next week...

Get Smart

Posted by: Isabel in , ,

Maxwell Smart is on a mission to thwart the latest plot for world domination by the evil crime syndicate known as KAOS. When the headquarters of U.S. spy agency Control is attacked and the identities of its agents compromised, the Chief has no choice but to promote his ever-eager analyst Maxwell Smart, who has always dreamt of working in the field alongside stalwart superstar Agent 23. Smart is partnered instead with the only other agent whose identity has not been compromised: the lovely-but-lethal veteran Agent 99. As Smart and 99 get closer to unraveling KAOS' master plan--and each other--they discover that key KAOS operative Siegfried and his sidekick Shtarker are scheming to cash in with their network of terror. Given little field experience and even less time, Smart--armed with nothing but a few spy-tech gadgets and his unbridled enthusiasm--must defeat KAOS if he is to save the day.

My husband watched this other night. I have never watched the tv show, so I have not idea how the movie compared. All I know is that we were both cracking up laughing.

Some of the scenes with Agent 99 and Maxwell were just great. I love the dance scene and the looks Agent 99 gives Max when she's annoyed with him. Joey said this how we would be if we were super agents.

Funny movie. Worth checking out.

Life on Mars- How I Roll

Posted by: Isabel in , ,

I haven't watched last night's episode yet (just about to after watching this clip). But i saw this sneak peek on you tube and had to share. Too funny.

I love the end when says, "How I roll." LOL!

Outtakes anyone?

Posted by: ~ames~ in

I love outtakes. They make me laugh (for the most part) but sometimes they can just be weird (The Happening outtakes were disturbing).

Here are a couple of my faves:

Underworld:

Pirates of the Caribbean:

The outtakes for Zoolander are hilarious too, but I couldn't find a video of them.

Gossip Girl: There Might Be Blood

Posted by: ~ames~ in ,

You can read an episode recap HERE.

First of all, let me start by saying that Jenny is still annoying the crap out of me! She doesn't care who she steps on as long as she gets her way, and those are the same antics she was up to in Season 1. I'm glad she ran away. I hope she never comes back.

Onto the other characters - Serena remembers Aaron from camp - and everytime she runs into him or calls him, a different girl is around. So when she confronts him at the end of the episode he basically tells her to deal with it. LMAO!! Crap, if a guy I was interested in pulled that shizz with me, no matter how much chemistry was between us, I'd kick his ass to the curb. And Serena should totally do that, because she told Aaron in last week's episode that she wasn't dating right now.

And Blair, poor Blair. Almost outsmarted by a teener bopper out to deflower herself. Awww. I don't like Blair when she's insecure. She was all worried about getting into Yale.

Speaking of which, Dan's stories got rejected at Yale, so he decided to write Chuck's story. Next week looks very interesting.

Prison Break-Greatness Achieved

Posted by: Isabel in , ,

Wow. Remember when Bellick was an ass in the first season. Thought he was all that and a bag of chips when he was a guard. Then when he landed in Sona, he was whiney spineless coward. This season he started to man up a little. Last night... damn. He totally redeemed himself in my eyes. When Linc was screaming for him to crawl inside. Damn. Damn. Damn. It was kind of sad.

What else did we have going on last night? Gretchen and the General kissing. Ummm.. ewwww. Mahone pushing Wyatt in the water. You should have shot him and them pushed him in Mahone. What if Wyatt somewhat surfaces? My sister found it funny how Wyatt started talking and Mahone was like, "Not listening," and pushed him in.

Michael had some kind of attack. The commercials made it sound like he would die. No. I knew my Michael wouldn't die. He's the main character! I was afraid it might be Sucre. I was hoping and praying it would be freaking T-bag. Why Bellick and not T-Bag!!!! Yeah, who ever came up with that idea is now on my list.

So now I'm wondering what else will happen. What do you think?

Army Wives- Season 2 Finale

Posted by: Isabel in , ,

So last night was the season 2 finale. I almost didn't watch cause Army Wives has been getting on my nerves lately.

Trevor and Roxy- Trevor wants a baby. Roxy isn't feeling that idea. She keeps saying she's busy at Betty's. But then Betty's nephew comes waltzing in saying he wants the bar. At first it looks like he wants to be a partner but then he offers to buy out Roxy. Which the amount he offers is a joke. Then he threatens to take Roxy to court. As of right now, the nephew is a butthead.

At first Trevor is telling Roxy to take him up on the offer as a business partner. But after he tries to low ball her, you could tell he was proud of Roxy for ripping up the check (Nephew offered $30,000).

Michael and Claudia Joy- It sucks they are leaving. But Claudia Joy was right, sooner or later, someone would have to leave. I just didn't expect it to be them.

Then Emmalin runs away with Logan, which I find that hard to swallow. I don't believe Logan would jeopardize his military career like that. And I can't believe Emmalin would let him. What if he later resents her for it?

Joan and Roland- I knew as soon as Michael's replacement came and mentioned he was buddies with Evan, Joan's number was up. She knew it too. And the look on Evan's face when she was told she was being replaced was like, "Neener neener." Ugh. But then to send her to Iraq so soon? I don't like that at all. I really felt bad for Joan when she was crying holding her baby.

Pam and Chase- Ok, so Pam was being a little harsh on her radio show about military wives and how their careers come second. But Pam is somewhat right. You married a soldier. You knew your career would suffer for it. It sucks but what can you do? Again, Pam could have worded it differently though. And then Evan canceling her show and replacing with her with his wife? That's just wrong.

Denise and Frank- I no longer like Denise. How can she have these feelings for Getty, and then be all into Mac? If she had feelings for Getty, isn't it a little soon to see where her relationship with Mac could go? Also, I get she's separated and all. But it just seems she wanted an out so she could see other people. Wanting to change and do new things, I get. I understand she was frustrated with Frank who didn't want things to change. But it just seems she doesn't even want to try with her marriage.

Frank, I'm kind of disappointed in. I didn't expect him push that one chick away but he didn't have to hop into bed with her right away. Unless it's, "If Denise can have her fun, why can't I?"

Anyways those are my thoughts.

NO!

Posted by: Isabel in ,

Rumor has it Pushing Daisies might be canceled!!! I didn't realize it was not doing well in the ratings until I saw Yahoo's photo gallery of shows in trouble.

I'll be very upset if this show is canceled. Should we all send pies over to ABC?

Quick Thoughts On My Shows This Week.

Posted by: Rowena in , , , , ,

I've been entirely too lazy to write up my thoughts on all of my shows. Many weeks have passed and still there hasn't been very many updates with my thoughts so I'm going to make a run down of all the shows I watch and what I'm thinking of each episode.

One Tree Hill: As much as I'm enjoying One Tree Hill (loyal fan that I am) I can't say that I'm exactly blown away by how amazing the writing and the turn the show is taking. I'm loving that Lucas and Peyton are together and though the scenes with them are cute and funny, they're not exactly wowing me. Although now with Julian in the picture, this might change because I'm mighty curious to see who this guy is and what exactly he is to Peyton. I thought Lucas was a dork for signing the contract without actually reading the contract. Ugh, I kept screaming at the screen, DON'T YOU DARE SIGN THAT and then he signed it and I thought he was an idiot. I'm still loving the hell out of Nathan, Haley and Jamie and I love that Nathan is playing slamball. I love that he's on the same team as Owen and I love that Owen is back in the picture with Brooke. I'm hoping that Brooke will lean on Owen because if anyone needs someone to lean on it'd be Brooke. I also think it's cute that Brooke is playing Mommy to Brooke Jr., Sam. It's going to be interesting to see how Sam turns into the good girl we all know she's going to be. Haven't seen too much from Skillz and Deb and I can't say that I miss them because truthfully, I don't. As much as I love Skillz, his little love affair with Deb creeps me the eff out. Then there's Mouth, Gigi and Millicent. I think it's stupid. I think Gigi is stupid and I had such high hopes for her returning and being with Mouth cause I think that's exactly who he belongs with well, atleast that's what I thought before she came back. I think in this case, the blast from the past isn't who holds my heart for the Tree Hill alum. In this case, Millicent is where Mouth belongs and I'm glad that he knows it, I just hope he doesn't screw anything up.

As a whole, the show is progressing but not with the same pizazz as I've come to expect from the writing folks over at One Tree Hill. But of course, I'm going keep watching because it's One Tree Hill, duh.

90210: This show hasn't been wowing me either. I can watch this on DVR and be totally fine. I'm kinda mad that Navid ended up really liking Adrianna of all people. I hate Adrianna. I think she's lame and yet Navid sees something in her that I don't and I'll just have to trust him on this one but man, why couldn't he have ended up with Silver or something, I LOVE Silver. I LOVE Navid and sooner or later, I want them to end up together some how, some way.

I didn't watch all of last night because my beloved Lakers were playing (and kicked ass by the way, WOOT!) but I did catch some bits of it and will be watching it in it's entirety sometime tonight but anyway, I think that Dixon and Silver are too cute. I love that they're so different and yet still connect with each other. I dig that they like each other and even though I like them two together, I want Navid to hook up with Silver but that's just me being selfish. LOL.

As for Ethan and Annie, they're the couple of the show I guess and I guess it's cute because I think Ethan is a cutie patootie but I dont' really care for him. I'm glad that he's destined to end up with Annie because I cannot stand Naomi. Misunderstood or not, I do NOT want Naomi and Ethan to get back together. Ugh, they don't make a good couple at all. But as far as Ethan and Annie go, I hope they juice up that storyline because I'm bored with it and it hasn't completely taken off yet so some CPR to revive that relationship would be nice.

I miss Kelly, I want her back. I miss Brenda, I want her back. I want to know what the hell happened to Kelly and Dylan and little Sammie (why do I keep swearing that Sammie's name started off as Gabe in the beginning? Am I smoking crack?) I want to know whatever happened between Ryan and Brenda (if anything) and I do not care for the whole undercover student crap storyling that Ryan's knee deep in right now. I hate that girl that plays Ryan's love interest, she's not nearly as cool as Kelly is so come on, Kelly needs to come back and nip that shit in the bud already.

Mom and Dad Wilson are still blah although I did see a bit of last night when Mama Wilson told Naomi's mom that she will punch her in the face so hard, she'll knock her teeth out if she ever came near her husband again, I was like, "GO AUNT BECKY!" haha.

As a whole, the storylines are tired and played out but I keep watching this show hoping to find more of the old school gang on there. Please bring them back!

Sarah Connor Chronicles: There isn't much to say about this show, all I know is that I'm thinking Garbage girl is bad news and hopefully we'll be seeing what her big plan is going to be. I missed last week episode so I missed what happened with Brian Austin Green's character's girl. The one that he slept with and then left and as he was leaving the camera zooms in on what's underneath her bed, which is a whole shitload of pictures of Jon Connor which smacks you over the head with what she's got planned, DUH! She's gonna kill Jon Connor like every other freaking freak in the world.

I don't have much to say on this show because I love it but I'm confused as I haven't been watching as often as I used to but I will catch up on this damn show to save my life, seriously.

I don't have anything to add on Prison Break or Fringe either since I need to catch up on those too.

And there you go, my thoughts.

Movie Review: High School Musical 3

Posted by: Rowena in , , ,

Starring: Zac Efron, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel, Monique Coleman.
Rating: PG
Grade: B+
High school seniors Troy and Gabriella are facing the prospect of being separated from one another as they head off in different directions to college. Joined by the rest of the Wildcats, they stage an elaborate spring musical reflecting their experiences, hopes and fears about their future.

This past weekend, my daughter and I had a party that we had to go to. If you read my personal blog, CoFFee HouSe BanTeR! then you'll know who's party I went to. It's Hottie Guy from my work. His son just turned 3 and he had a birthday party for him and we were invited. Now normally, I wouldn't mix and mingle with people from work, OUTSIDE of work if you're in my immediate circle of friends from work but I made an exception for Hottie Guy because 1)he's HOT and 2)he's kinda sorta dating my friend from work and I went to support her.

Now because my friend knew that me and my other friend from work didn't want to go to the party because 1) it was all the way out in the boondocks and 2) we were uncomfortable since we hardly talk to him at work and we're supposed to hang out with this guy and all of his family when we don't really have to?  Sharon (thats my friend who we went for) decided to treat me and Nikol and our kids to a movie, her treat.

The first movie that popped into my head that I wanted to see?

I'm telling you, if you have young kids then odds are they already love the High School Musical movies and this is another great movie for them to enjoy. I enjoyed the heck out of this movie and danced my way to the car after the movie was done. This is a feel good movie and I'll admit that I got a little teary eyed toward the end because this movie marks the end of the road for the characters that we've come to know and love throughout all three of these movies.

It was cute, I would totally spend the $10 to watch this movie again in the theaters and Brenna totally wants to see it again, so it's a sure winner for us. But be warned, there is cheese aplenty in this movie but ask me if I cared.

I didn't, I ate it all up!

I heart Troy Bolton and if I was 20 years younger, I'd totally want to marry him too! And Vanessa Anne Hudgens is such a pretty girl too.

I totally recommend this movie!
